I'm buried deep underground in the middle of a forest. My megaproject is to be building an underground rail system for the major areas, featuring lifts from the lower level to surface. I realise the nether makes it kind of redundant, but I WANT TO MAKE A LIFT.

I was going to do this, the hawt tower kinda reached a massive snag when I realised it's hit the sky box WAY too early.

Found my lair location on the edge of the swamp and desert, for some reason there's 3 mountains.  I'm building my base in between 2 of them.  It is going to be a massive construction project.

I am abandoning the massive tower near spawn, feel free to harvest it for cobblestone.

There is also a nether portal inside, make good use of it.

As for me I'm going to live the humble life of a sheep farmer, somewhere you will never find me...

Bear in mind, this means everything in the chests below the hawt tower are also up for grabs, quite a food goodies in there

I experimented with a bunch of piston staircase/elevator designs on the intermediary map that was on the server for a little while before the previous one.
The huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge problem with a lot of them in SMP is latency, that one you linked is way too fast and you'll just end up a step or two up it rather than all the way at the top.
I think this was the one I found that worked in SMP. Yes it's a lot bigger than the spiral staircase ones, but it will actually work in SMP, as the video shows.

Also, I'm wanting to build inside a ravine again, but preferably closer to spawn than my one on the last map, so if anyone finds one on or relatively near the surface within a reasonable distance of the spawn, could they PM me the co-ords please?
