I mean, lets face it: It's VERY easy to be safe in Minecraft. And with beds giving you movable spawn points it's even less of a hassle than it used to be. Hoping that this makes people more likely to stick together too.

i prefer it like this on hard i think, but it only makes things slightly more deadly, and dying of starvation is a real danger on any difficulty. If you are properly fed, you have health regen, so hard is only slightly harder nowadays because you can start retreating to build health.

Well hopefully having lots of mobs will mean there IS a civilisation, rather than a bunch of random unfinished mob spawners, connected by nether portals. But we'll see, I'm very much open to change it.

I got as far as running for cover and digging a hole into a cliff face. No coal yet. Better remember how to make charcoal.  But by the sounds of it, food is going to be a problem that will have to be over come. Flattern a hill top. Make fence. Start farming. Hunt down piggies

i have a hill fort with farm, not having any mob problems, i'm subsistence farming wheat atm though, need to setup a production facility inside the cliff because going oon a long trip without food is a death sentence, or you end up chasing pigs all day.

Discovered one of those massive 'abandoned' mine shaft underground things, you know, one of the new settlement things covered in mine cart tracks.

Got to the chest, found myself a shit ton of watermelon seeds, so I'm starting a plantation somewhere over the sea from Guilt's little hut thing.

Absoloute shit ton of stuff left down there, it was in a random hole on the surface which I have dubbed Hawt's Adventure Pit if anyone fancies a gander.

i "borrowed" a melon for seeds hawt. Your stalks should constantly make melons though as long as you keep ploughing.

Every time a new version of MC comes out, I load it up, start a new world, wander around a bit...and then quit, bored. Is there something wrong with me?

Hoping 1.9 will be the one. And I'd quite like to have a farm, if that's possible now.

Multiplayer really is the main pull for me now. I can just about justify spending hours building domes and castles knowing that about 7 people will see it and be impressed for about 10 seconds. Outside competitive architecture the exploration angle can be quite fun, even if it is often just to find a good scenic view to look over while I build my fortress.
