The old map currently works with 1.6.6 so we have some decisions to make on whether to stick with it or pursue new alternatives.

As AV didn't win this will be a first past the post vote.

Not that we couldn't build our own crazy floating mountain, but I voted for that seed, since it looks nice enough.

Hopfully due to nether getting to other biomes won't be as hard.
Also I don't think I invested too much into the current map, so others that did should definitely vote.

I don't want the landscape more impressive than anything I could build myself.

Plus under the mountains will be monster hell

it is monster licious under there, but it wont take long for us to light up milli, and bear in mind that that is the spawn area, it changes fairly rapidly into flat forests, desert, and lakes once you actually head outwards

i wanted people to post their opinion really but brahms went ahead and made a silly numbers vote, because deadlys vote for one doesnt mean anything . i'm most interested in what milli and e90 have to say for example as they will actually be playing a considerable amount of time on the server.

EDIT: he also didn't mention we have setup our server now just waiting for it to come online.

floating mountain i'd point out is only known around the spawn area if you push out from there its all unknown random map we just have the certainty of a decent spawn area.

I actually have no real objection to the floating mountain map, perhaps more people will play if the spawn is less depressing.

Hopefully the next patch won't break the map

just a reminder as my old post wasnt clear the old map is working under 1.6.6 and this vote is about what we put up on the brahms and disco server.

i'd prefer people to discuss than just put their numbers into the poll because i'm more concerned about what the hardcore minecrafters think than those who are just going to hop on for a quick look

Well we've paid the piper, waiting for the server to be set up now, but presumably they don't work overnight. Should turn up tomorrow. I'll post details when I get them.

i've been doing some map editing and i'm capable of that so yes we could start at the floating mountain spawn and then move it or put in warp points for other places
