Good luck to both of you.  Don't worry about the early induction, we've had 2 healthy babies delivered early.  Early babies are tiny though.

Have you thought of bottle feeding instead? It may be less hassle with all the hospital visits for both of you to be able to make bottles.  Ignore the breast feeding propaganda.

What you end up doing though is obviously down to personal circumstances but it sounds like the advice is to try breast feeding, and switch to bottle only if breast really ends up too difficult. As beneficial as it can be its obviously a secondary concern to the immediate health and wellbeing of Eve and the baby.

Both my kids were bottlefed (is this an actual word??) and they are both healthy girls, so don't think you have to worry about that too much. With breastfeeding you have to bring the baby to the breast, with bottlefeeding you have to bring the bottle to the baby. You have to wake up one way or the other.

Breast or bottle, it's a matter of personal preference, what annoyed me are the midwifes who insinuate you are in league with the devil if you even think of using the bottle.

Just don't mix em, babys don't like it, you even have to use the same brand of formula.

I was a bottle-fed baby myself because, as my mother told me some days ago, I was too lazy to suckle(?). And the only allergie I have is for/against/whatever nickel. My brother on the other hand was breast-fed and he has several bad allergies...
So just do it as it's best for you!
