Best wishes Tom, my mother survived breast cancer and the treatment can be extremely effective.

Just got back from the hospital. Hour and half wait just to have 15 minutes of face time with the obstetrician, who's only pearl of wisdom was to stop chemo 3 weeks before the baby's due. Waste of fucking time tbh, the ob clearly didn't have a clue about our case, or how to proceed and pretty much read some stuff to us off of a print out she got from the internet. The registrar/doctor assistant person though seemed to know her shit and showed the doctor up a couple of times which made me giggle. Ob also said I looked Polish, even after I'd told her I was born in England which didn't add to the good feeling I got from her.
The good news is that the pregnancy can go ahead as normal; we'll be having more scans and getting more attention once the chemo starts just to make sure it hasn't affected the baby. They said that as the cancer isn't affected by hormone's there isn't any point doing anything to change the pregnancy, other then stopping chemo before and maybe inducing labor a bit early, depending on the chemo schedule and how she responds to it.
We're back to waiting for the results of the biopsy now, Tuesday's the next big day and we should find out when the chemo will start.

Chemo starts tomorrow, turns out that the armpit lump isn't cancer but they don't want to delay the start of the chemo by removing it now, so it will come out along with half of Eve's boob . The good news is that we spoke with the surgeon who will be removing the lump today and she thinks that the breast can be saved. Also, they're fairly sure that the cancer hasn't spread anywhere else but we're still waiting for results from the chest scan and an apointment for the liver scan. All in all, not a bad day today.

My dads sister had breast cancer too. She lost a whole boobie.
I know it will be hard on her at first but a little bit of silicone or a prosthesis should help on that. Support her in every way and be strong for her. She needs her self confidence and you can provide one part of it morally.
All the best to all 3 of you! Much love from Estonia!
