Seems more like degeneration to me with that song. He took a perfectly fine premise and just cut up the shit out of what would be either low strings or long bass notes. Big deal, man!!!

No I actually like many of those tunes. I just don't like those who are either a 10 second loop repeated 50 times or who take a basic melody, than gangrape it to play every note with a different "instrument" while making every one of those instruments sound like a blown up speaker.
I feel very mainstream for saying this, but Propane nightmares by Pendulum is an example for good dubstep in my book. Is it even dubstep?

I thought to myself, you know what, Ima give this dubstep shit a chance; I like to think I've got an open mind when it comes to anything that isn't mainstream chart poppy wank music so had high hopes. Just listened to everything in this thread but that last song Cat posted made me want to eat the metal dog thats sat on my window ledge.
Maybe in 6 months I'll try again, but on this occasion dubstep has beaten me.

I'm glad you tried. I found myself in the same situation, then what I thought is I needed context. Then I stumbled across SaladUK, who I have raided the lulz thread before with a few videos. After watching a few, before you know it, you'll be skanking like a madcunt whilst your friends look on and think "what a wanker". |
