i don't begrudge people who might want to use some, it sucks starting bf late and being up against level 50 colonels. And the prices seem about right to stop people just buying them for no reason. Just dunno would be cool if they could work in some better way to help new players than just give us money if you want to catch up. Maybe like 2142s field unlocks, or maybe just one unlock that they can use to unlock any gun early. With some way of changing it every so often.

They have been doing that for BC2 aswell, I dont mind it, if people feel the need to get weapons early for actual money, then go ahead. Atleast this isnt like Bad Company where all the starting weapons suck, apart from Recon, all kits have good starting gear in this game.

As long as it's stuff that the rest of us get for free and without too much effort... When it becomes stuff that requires unemployed levels of grind or that just isn't available then I'll get mad.

Well, at what point does it cross the line? I just checked my friendslist for the people with the top5 game time.

Nobody except disco has unlocked all the weapons and perks. Even disco, with his over 250h of gameplay time hasn't unlocked every single doodad the game has to offer.

Granted that is a bit skewed, since you don't unlock weapons for kits you don't play (for example, I could probably have every single kit-specific gun if I played less engi).
Having said that, I don't mind if people buy the weapons. I mind that a new player has less effective tools than one that has played for a long time; I dislike unlock systems in general.

The fact that they do this NOW 6 months after release is fine to me. When Bad Company 1 was in open beta 4 years ago they hinted at a microtransaction system where you can buy every single gun for 1 Dollar each. They patched that out pretty quick because there was a MAJOR shitstorm in the media about this, I guess thats the reason why they didnt include this at launch. On the other hand, after the shit they pulled off with the disclocked content for Mass Effect 3, this would sound too good to be true.

Besides Cruel, none of these offers include vehicle unlocks UNLESS you buy the 39,99 bundle, the kitbundles are fine, you can get every classgun in around 6-7 hours for each kit, vehicles take alot more dedication, thats why they only include it in this highpriced bundle.

Times have changed quite a bit when it come to microtransactions. Not long ago, the mere hint of buying weapons would have caused a shitstorm. Heck, remember when everybody complained about horse armor in Oblivion? Nowadays purely cosmetical microtransactions are praised

Hmm, I was wondering why they didn't offer vehicle kits, those seem the most attractive, both from the improvement you get and from the time you have to invest, good point.

But the price doesn't really concern me that much. I don't care if somebody paid 1 cent, 100 dollars or 200 hours for their better equipment, I don't like it in general.

I don't see why you can't just spend service stars to unlock a weapon or gadget of your choice, then have you be able to buy service stars to spend. This rewards players who don't want to pay and also gives a shortcut route for new players.

I think they are still a bit worried from the extremely negative feedback from Bad Company 1. They even made a game specifically for the purpose of microtransactions (BF Play4Free), the other titles are mostly free of that thankfully.

I'm pretty sure the kit shorcuts do not include accessories? That would be retarded. I finished all kit and vehicle and coop unlocks in less than 100 hours playtime, maybe around the 70 hour mark?

Also wish this game would display the number of kits on your team. Having to manually count your team has 8 snipers out of 13 players takes too long, and I feel like not everyone of them is a useless sniper asshole they just can't see theres too many.

Nevermind, theres a way to enable it if they didnt do it already.

Open your JavaScript console (F12 on Chrome, CTRL-Shift-K on FF) and paste in:

S.globalContext.session.rollouts.push('LIVE_SCOREBOARD');

then press enter. Voila you now have the live ticketcount enabled, but you have to do it everytime you close the tab and open Battlelog again. Kinda annoying but hey its workin, so Im not complaining.

Gonna give this game another shot now that I can actually find good servers
