I try to play infantry squad sometimes. Until cruel says WE ARE LOSING DISCO GET IN A TANK ALREADY. If someone wants to properly take charge and make me play infantry I can do that. As the suicidal pointman obviously but I make a good distraction.

that guy makes me want to not play as a squad. That he has names for every area of metro is pretty gross. I think given the number of maps and that we aren't playing 24/7 metro it would be better/more fun to learn general language and not try to name every place.
2nd video is more useful and shows that most of the time they are just using general language.

They name every area on every map they play. That's part of being a competitive player in any game. I'm sure many people on WDG know where trash and shit house are in cp_badlands.
But that was not the point. I don't ask anybody to walk with me through every map and give every room/hill a name. I also don't ask anybody to be as communicative as those guys. I don't wanna go (half) competitive in BF3.
The point was: Say what killed you, say what you see coming. I'm sure you remember that yesterday I asked you multiple times "What killed you?". That was because I was going in to revive you and I need to act differently depending on if I'm up against a tank/sniper/shotgunner.
Heck, one of the reasons we're a pretty decent tank combo is because we call out targets to each other.
Voice communication gives you a legal wall hack.

Yeah I know cruel. I just felt the first video was less helpful that the second. The second shows them playing having a little bit of banter, generally mucking around a bit, and mostly using general language. The first video is like this is what we do and what you should do too. And really just getting to grips with concise communication for general play and having fun before you start naming everything is probably a better idea.

Video 1 is basically theory, video 2 is praxis.
Also, so we don't have the same misunderstanding as in the other thread, I'd like to point out that I'm talking about my personal ideal/saying that you don't need a repair tool to have teamwork.
We're not gonna exclude anyone from our squad/mumble or shout at you if you don't want to talk all the time.
I really don't want to scare anybody away because they want to play less serious. Karthus decided to spend an entire round sitting in the static AA yesterday and offered to leave the squad but we declined.
