64 player maps are a joke when it comes to lag. 32 or 40 players seems much better.

Just finished the campaign on hard.

Some notes:
1) Some of the checkpoints are in fucking retarded places or too far apart - there were numerous occasions when I had to go through a massive firefight, clear the room and then have to run through a whole new section to get shotgunned/shot in the face (which is pretty much insta-death on hard) and have to replay the entire lot again
2) Quick time events suck - especially when it shows you which mouse button to click, but your mouse buttons are reversed because you're left-handed - so basically the quick time event tells you to press the wrong buttons. (inb4 hurr derr left handers suck)

Other than that - it was a perfectly acceptable modern shoot the mans campaign (a la homefront, CoD, MoH) - would put it above homefront, BC2 and MoH and probably in between some of the CoD games. Similar kind of length I guess and a reasonable mix of vehicle the mans, snipe the mans, defend the mans, attack the mans, shoot the mans in a plane etc.

I thought the story was better than I've seen previously although still bad obv. It was less annoying than MW1 because there was a lack of infinitely respawning douchebags. The set pieces were so so though. I appreciate they didn't want to make you work too hard in the campaign and fly a jet but eh. And the tank mission was dumb they turned off shell drop, so it does not prepare you at all for mp tanking and I found it hard to hit targets until I realised my shells had turned into laser beams.

I feel like the thing that really lets down this type of game is the absolutely unfun AI. I can deal with linearity and the lack of choices (though maybe not with the quicktime events) but the AI in these games is so boring. All they do is walk out, hide behind cars and pop out to shoot at you. The whole thing becomes about whether you can accurately shoot the top of the guy that's visible above cover before he shoots you. Compare it to someething like Crysis, which has its problems, but has fun, agressive AI that tries to flank you, loses sight of you, can be flanked, surprised, taken hostage or stunned. Maybe some of those things are in the game later on, but I can't really be bothered to play the SP unless the MP isn't working.

Last night in MP a sniper started shooting at me and I hit the dirt, the shots were still coming in though, and I tried to shuffle into cover behind a little hill. I couldn't work out where he was shooting from and eventually he managed to put a bullet into me. I respawned with the thermal scope and Disco and I flanked him, snuck up on him and Disco managed to knife him. It was a million times better than the stupid scripted single player section, even though I twice trying to get him.

thats a couple of guys in a window on one level, it just doesn't compare. You are told to flank there and there is tons of cover.

That was a pretty poor opposing team think they where all snipers. I sat in the the AA tank at point c and no one ever even attacked me all round.

It's not the only occasion though. And anyway, still silly, even if it would be only once. There are apparently hundreds of soldiers in there, until you enter the building, then there are suddenly only about 10 on that floor.

It's also the same spot, where, if you look out to the very street you are coming from from that exact spot in the bank, the street in front of the bank is suddenly completely empty. Kind of like if you went out of the level bounds in CS 1.6 or something. And another occurence of open doors that you can't walk through.

I LOLed at the guy who you are supposed to kill with the knife, who stood there completely oblivious, while I breakdanced inches behind him. His buddies in front of him also didn't react (because the guy wasn't dead yet). Then I killed him with the grenade instead and... nothing happened. He just stood there, but he wasn't really there anymore, just his model that dissapeared about 10 seconds later. The game was probably angry with me, because I didn't want to see the pretty knife kill animation.

the citv station is not a selectable perk, its an always on upgrade. All tanks are now 3 seaters to me now . lasers ftw.
