"Well at first we were just chilling on a hill, but then we all run towards the enemy. And I wanted to press E to scale a wall, but the guy on the left wouldn't have any of it, but the guy in the middle helped.

And then we drove into an obvious trap and we all knew it was stupid as hell, but we decided to get out of our armoured cars to try and push an obviously planted car out of the way. So that's how half of our guys died, but then we went up on the bridge and went through the street for like five minutes, shooting stuff. The enemy turned every single car in our direction and turned on all the indestructible headlights. And then there was a tank and we almost died and the guy was like "Are you okay!!??", but I didn't say anything, because it's none of his business. And then the tank blew up and we run through the street again and shot some people"

Yeah can't say I'm enjoying the single player very much. I suppose the main twist by the end of the game will be, that my name is actually not Blackburn, but Ramirez and I've been undercover to find out, who the fuck selects all these useless guys, who can't shoot that enemy 10 feet in front of him so I have to shoot every single dude myself.

"Ramirez... uh, I mean Blackburne. Take this RPG and aim where the game tells you to, then shoot that tank.. I mean that hotel, where the sniper is hiding. At least I think it's a hotel, because it says so on the front, even if the rooms are completely empty, which you can clearly see after your RPG blows half the building up". Also, don't go through that open doorway, unless I tell you to, but I'm fine with you sitting in the jet for twenty minutes, while you take the courage up to also check the flaps on the right side, because the flaps on the left side probably were quite a shocking view. No really, take your time, it's just an aircraft carrier, no one's in a hurry over here."

What did you expect Power, its a Battlefield game. I went in with the thought in mind, that this will just try to copy CoDs campaign, and it did that alot, but overall I enjoyed it, it had cool moments in it and on an atmosphere level it was refreshing after turds such as Homefront.

Also, people who start to get annoyed by the Mortar: I did too at first, but after using it now I see its pros and cons and my advise is: Be patient! Right now chances are high you run into games where theres one single guy actually using the mortar, which will result in him getting Stats like these. The thing is though, as soon as you place it down, its visible on the entire map. Once more people start to unlock it, the mindlessly-shoot-all-red-dots-battle will turn into a mortar vs. mortar. I had some games where some enemies had it too and the outcome was that we pretty much battled ourselves there and left the infantry alone as long as the other guy was alive. Id say, give it 2-3 weeks and it will be a perfectly balanced Gadget, right now its OP but thats to expect when noone has all the stuff yet.

Well yeah, the COD-mode was expected, but I found the MW games did a better job actually making sure you are where they want you to be. For example the Rio mission there, where you are chasing a guy though the slums. The route is set, you can't really go anywhere else, but you are constantly being harrased, screamed at, shot at if you take your time instead of following where the game wants you to go.

Here, despite of all urgency, people are perfectly fine with standing halfway through animations in awkward positions for minutes on end, waiting for you to get to your designated position and press E or SPACE or whatever, without so much as telling you to hurry the fuck up most of the times. "We're about to take off on this plane from a carrier, a thing which usually takes less than a minute all in all, but sure, take your time, closing the fuselage, turning left and right once and giving me OK to go." The amount of ways to break the scripted sequence is staggering, I don't remember being able to do that in the MW games at all - probably just didn't have the time to look for them, but yeah.

So you attack the bank, right? This huge battle with jammed streets, multiple tanks, enemy digging in. Not five minutes later you can see out onto this very same street from the bank and it is completely empty. As in not even trees, not a single light. Nothing. Atmosphere. (also check out the container on the right, where you find the Javeline, with open doors that you cannot go through. Invisible walls? We have invisible doors!)

The tank mission was a bit better, until I got to the engineer guy. Apparently, I didn't drive my tank through the route the developer expected me to, so once I got out of the tank (scripted event, of course), it magically teleported to where it was supposed to be at this point. Sorry, that's not how you do atmosphere.

Every single animation sequence is aimed at one specific direction, which looks stupid, when you come from a different direction and the guy who was supposed to greet you or whatever, does that, while standing with his back towards you.

Currently I stopped playing, because my enemies suddenly stopped having faces. They are just floating helmets right now. Sigh.

The best thing that happened to me was the leader was like: "Stack up on this door, we're going to go in and flank them, solid copy? On my mark. 3... 2... 1... GOGOGO." Then him and the rest of the squad just walked through the closed door and started killing people. I was stuck on the other side like "Guys? I can't walk through walls?"

Haha that's nothing. I had a guy walk "upstairs" through a solid wall, then come down the stairs fron the other side of the stairwell.

To make it short, I feel like I'm in a play, but I'm drunk, showed up late and forgot to read the fucking script. The second playthrough will probably be a blast, once I learn to go along with the director and where to stand at all times. Currently I'm just having to much fun, breaking the scripts.

Push SPACE 5 times, to rappel down the elevator shaft. Which you couldn't jump down earlier. Then aparently kill a guy, by hitting him with your BOTH legs. Shoot the blinded dude, wait for him to finish his blinded animation to finally react and fall down.

Don't go there. That's where the ladder will come down!

Push E to not die.
