Does that mean you have to use battlelog's party feature to make sure we're in the same squads? That's not too big a deal. Just annoying when you get stuck in a squad with some moron and can't even use voice comms (Though no one ever does anyway)

That means you'll be unable to switch away from that squad of snipers if you're alone.
It'll also probably mean if your friends join later on, you all need to rejoin the server if you want a squad.
Working together with a random teammate? Can't form a squad with him to make working together easier.

I could forgive the simple in-game squad thing if it blacklisted or tried a different squad from the one that you just left, it would just about make it functional but you can't move squad in-game atm (without extreme patience) and it looks like you never will.
Brahms yes squading with friends works via battlelog parties and that should just about work, also theres no in-game comms only via party. The problem i'm having is getting stuck in garbage sniper squads and never having a decent spawn point and never being able to leave ever. I think the only workaround at the mo is to lone wolf and just try finding a squad every death and hope that the shit squad has filled up in the mean time.
Cruel it does auto-create new squads and generally forces you to play in squads it works 50-60% of the time but the rest of the time you are stuck in crap squads.

Thats for the beta I think to help identify NDA breakers and cheats. Battlelog has the option to switch soldier so I assume the main game will let you create more dudes as normal.

The Origin ID stuff is stupid. Im stuck on a stupid name because I created an account back in 2007 when it was still called "EA Download Manager" and had nothing to do with playing games online. They should atleast give someone like me a free namechange.
I also want to point out that the party feature in Battlelog is awesome. You always land up in the same team, lets hope they adjust the squad mechanic a bit more.

Hurray for supported clanstacking! But how do they do it? If a full squad joins a server, do they just unbalance the team balance? |

i've seen terrible team balance at times, so maybe?
mode try the beta it really is good and better than bc2 mostly just nitpicking and some of this stuff will get fixed.
Anyone know what being squad leader actually means anymore? I randomly became leader just now and got a star but like, you can spawn off anyone and if orders are even in the game anymore i assume anyone can give them so eh?

I tried marking one of the points in Metro but couldn't, I just assumed they removed it since its only function was free points anyway.
Maybe only the squad leader can select it now?
