I hate the sniper crosshair on the russian side - with the arrows pointing upwards in the middle, horrible stuff. Is there a way to change that?

Theres a premium video of the crossbow now.

The normal bolts and the scan bolt dont really add much, may as well be a sniper rifle, although the scan bolts do offer another kind of scanning between tugs and mav, dunno if scan bolt is all classes like the crossbow though. I can't imagine assaults stopping m416 noobing long enough to use the crossbow much but it does kinda round out their gadgets alongside having the mass and m320. Engi has no reason to use it unless there are no vehicles then it becomes a flat upgrade. Support has good gadgets apart from claymores being overnerfed and can only really see it useful as a claymore replacement and having it specced to mirror your lmg scoping, so you have something for long range and something for short. Sniper maybe the scan bolt is useful.

Explosive bolts though hmm. They seem better for killing jeeps and scout helis than a lot of things, m320, rpg, c4. Also lets snipers do something. This is going to alter the balance on maps like damavand peak and norshar canals. Atm assaults generally dont take m320 or mass anymore because of the general anything that isn't an assault rifle is noob nazi mindset. If they all start taking explosive bolts though will be very hard to use light vehicles anymore.

apart from the first 2 the premium vids have all become adverts anyway. Would share them privately myself if it wasn't easier for you to just youtube them. They actually put effort into the first 2 and for awhile it seemed like premium videos would be pretty decent but now its all 20 seconds of aftermath or 5 mins of ak gameplay. Instead of dev commentary and playing tips with some kindof production budget. Still haven't had an ak vehicles guide or playing tips. Bet it doesn't come next month either it'll just be more aftermath footage.

Thanks for the report Brahms. We've discussed your case and agreed that deadly was out of line in implying that battlefield premium members were not inherently elite, and in fact may not be superior to other people in every way at all. As such we've created a special area then subsequently banned him from it. Unfortunately due to a slip of the mouse we've also banned everyone else.

now that I can snipe I can finally appreciate how truly bad hardcore mode is. Extra vehicle damage/vulnerability is one thing but as a sniper I was flanking people and then killing 3 people in a single shot, and doing quick scope body shots is a million times easier than headshots. Easy mode for so many things, mortar too. On the one hand I don't want to play easy mode but on the other getting mortar mastery atm requires 1500 kills which is insane. I have just over 300.

EDIT: Lol. They just made a ton of stuff easier today actually. Including medals i'm still working on. I guess those do take the longest. Mortar, claymores, laser assists got dropped to 150. So mastery is down to 750 which is still too much but i'm about halfway on that I think.

Sensor assists and knives came down, PDWs, MVPs, nemesis. Vehicle warfares, Stationary emplacements. Maintenance, service time requirements. None of those were difficult to achieve so that seems pointless. Especially pointless is they dropped the requirement for mcom attacker medal to 10 ribbons but left defender at 50??? Noone had problems getting the attack medal defender is the hard one, seems like that change is backwards.

Also squad mode medals dropped to winning 20 times which is probably the only medal change i'm actually grateful for as squad modes suck and i've nearly done those medals now.

Typically they didn't recalculate your medals and points correctly. So i'm now missing a bunch of medals and points, and also the claymore medal dogtag, sigh.

EDIT2: bonus content this time is wallpapers LOOOL. http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/news/view/2832654788363679263/ They could have at least done the soundtrack, that would have been mildly ok.
