CoD:UO was a blatent rip off of battlefield 1942 but i still loved it, sinking almost a year into that game on it's own. The only thing that could get me off it was something better and that was BF2, yes EA were rubbish with fixing bugs but it was still the best damn game around.
if they can bring back the magic that made people stick with it through the faults and mix infantry and vehicle well without debasing the thing into infantry maps that have vehicles then it will be a winner. it seems to be a much more PC based game so i have my hopes up, it remains to be seen if that's a good thing.
also they need to bring back the gulf of oman map, a beach invasion that ISN'T based off normandy is rare

Once, on Wake Island, I was in a tank, and I managed to fire a shell into a helicopter that was on the other side of the island. One of my greatest moments (Bf2 is full of those)

guess it has a single player then. wonder why, bf2 was epic without it.
I remember EPIC saying they included a single player campaign into UT3 because 50% of all players never went online. Now UT has bots, so it has more draw for single players. But imagine having a single player campaign and "only" getting 20% of those. $$$ |

so far EA has been providing old maps for free. Yes as a ploy against COD but still... |

hmm, it will be interesting if they add soldier customisation. but what i really want is like tank customisation. And i want to earn kill markers i can paint on. So i can record my heli slaughter on my tank. My prewious littly tanky
