I'm confused really. First reaction is vapourware. Then I see Atom, which are slow as all hell, and 7 inch?, which is kinda low-end netbook stuff. Presumably it's Sandy Bridge with the integrated graphics?
So it's a teeny W7 netbook with no keyboard capable of playing Wow/Quake 3 spec games? I'm still confused.

Yeah - not sure about it. It's only powered by an atom - so it's probably about as powerful as a netbook, even if it has decent onboard dedicated graphics it won't be that powerful.
I like the keyboard - but it's nothing that hasn't been done before (e.g. the goliath) on a concept product.
By the looks of it and the promo material it looks like it's designed for WoW players?
Retail Price at a guess: >£500

It would need atleast 10+ more keys to be considered okay for playing WoW on it.

I'd have thought the screen way too small for hardcore Wow'ers, don't you need buffs and stuff visible (not really sure what I'm talking about). I'm only vaguely aware of Intel's new chipsets but I haven't seen anything embedded Intel I'd want to run any game on, their graphics bits are just there to pad out the silicon.
You're probably right Deadly! Would anyone be tempted at 300/350?

if you read the press release you'll learn that they're not releasing it it's a concept. They want to work with existing brands to create something market viable. My opinion = not gonna happen Also, ION is pretty powerful for netbooks

We know, just not sure it's a very good concept Agree with you though. Yeah, but ION isn't Intel.

My opinion = not gonna happen Also, ION is pretty powerful for netbooks I did. And I know...but I was speculating on a retail price if they ever did release it - it's a concept but they have made a prototype unit. And you said it yourself - they're looking at releasing something similar that's capable of mass-production. I guess it would be aimed at hardcore wow'ers that had to leave their pc for >2 hours.

ION can and has been uses as a dedicated GPU. Works well too
I've seen it run tf2 in person with an atom providing CPU power
Not sticking up for razer.. this thing is gonna suck balls if it gets released
won't stop a load of idiots buying it though
Oh and the new ATOM CPUs are CPU/GPU combined =/

We know, just not sure it's a very good concept That. I'd rather have a less portable, more functional "gaming" laptop then something like this. It's kind of like the iPad in that it doesn't really have a useful aplication other then a cool piece of tech IMO. Only good thing could be for gaming on the shitter but you can do that on a laptop too...

Seeing as the keyboard alone would make even most hardcore gamers cry: http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus/ .... I'm betting more on onlive

If it's under £150 it would be worth having.

You can use it already. I was pretty damn impressed considering that the servers are in the US.
