Seems like a good price / good deal that has everything you want it to do - I can't comment on the quality of the picture because I havn't seen one in person though.

Good spec. Good price. Can't fault it from what I see there.

I have a Samsung Syncmaster P2450H which I can't recommend enough. It is more expensive, but I think i've found it about £10 cheaper than that link. Plus you get an extra 2 inches, which is quite important for some people.

Looks fine for 22" to be honest, but other good suggestions here too. One thing Magathery does mention that is worth checking is the policy on dead pixels and monitor failures and replacements - I've no idea what dabs is on this, although I have a sneaking suspicion my current main monitor was in a low priced offer from them - mainly I don't have a clue on this since I've not brought one for so long but worth checking before plonking down the cash in case somewhere else offers replacements for a minimal increase in price.

Mm, definitely need HDMI though. May look to see if there's another LG that does if you can speak for their picture quality.

Do you really though? You do know you can convert hdmi to dvi and vga for the price of a small adapter right? I know it might not be as convenient - but for the sake of a really good monitor without it vs a shitty one with it - I know which one I'd choose.

Ok, do you know if there would be any noticable quality loss going HDMI > DVI?

Ok, do you know if there would be any noticable quality loss going HDMI > DVI? None. Only difference is that HDMI carries audio, whereas DVI doesn't - but unless you're buying a TV it doesn't make a difference (since a monitor doesn't have speakers). Both are shielded in just the same way. And yes mama - you have to go hdmi -> dvi -> vga I'm about to do it with my projector
