Means nothing really, when I was level 10 I was thrashing level 40-50 (not all). I know its the same with any game, but you really have to find your own flow with MNC.. so many ways to play, and each suits your style+your class you can help your team by:
Taking out enemy players
Taking out enemy bots
Supporing your own bots
Building/upgrading towers
Releasing bots
running the ejectors/juices etc
IMO more so than tf2.. you choose the way to help your team with completely different approaches (cue the flaming lol)

Yeah, you're right, but if the enemy team has one or two people who are dominating your decidedly sub-par team, even doing that stuff doesn't help since walking out of your base means death and so no pushing can be done. Good snipers and spies especially due to their more instant-kill nature.
Some maps are pretty hard to stop them destroying your turrets with no retaliation too.

Its not his SMG or anything, if he uses that alot hes actually doing his job right.
But lets look at his stats:
His Rate of Fire, even without the endorsment, is more than double the RoF compared to the Sniper in TF2. That itself is just ridiculous.
He has no Idle Sway whatsoever when zoomed in.
Doesnt matter how long hes zoomed in, any headshot, even on Tanks and Gunners, is instakill. Wut?
That just brings me to the conclusion, that the Sniper in his current state was clearly made for the XBLA version of Monday Night Combat (=Aiming with a Controller).
So what youll get in almost every game is 1 Sniper controlling a whole lane by just standing in his base and headshotting everyone that dares enter that lane. That is just unfair, other classes have to risk 1on1 fights while hes pretty immune to any direct combat whatsoever (having an Assassin dedicated to just killing him isnt worth it because of the low respawn times).
Still I have also seen some Snipers doing what theyre supposed to do, which is going to the front and deploying traps and that AoE-thing on critical chokepoints. Also the SMG is super effective. Sadly, 99% of Snipers are doing what Ive described above, which is camping in their base and pissing off everyone else in the game.
I hope that Uber will adress this soon. My suggestion is making headshots only take away 60% of the players health (since its so ridicolously easy to headshot) and increasing his rate of fire by a huge amount.

It occurred to me when I was playing well as a sniper, something I have never done with any sniper rifle in any other game ever, that it would be mighty hard with a controller. However, they've
already
tweaked the balance from the XBLA version (can't find the article talking about it atm). Just needs more nerfs, really.

It's not THAT easy to get headshots as sniper, since the pacing in MNC is generally much faster than TF2. It's like the enemy team is made up entirely of scouts.
Still, I was finding myself with a very healthy KPD when I gave it a go.
Another point I can add to Abda's list is that the invisible ice traps can be set up to protect the sniper whilst he's sitting in his base, so even Assassins aren't a sure counter.

True to all of that, and yes a few times I've found my self haunted by a good sniper (couple of times I'm sure they cheating, kill every 5 seconds etc) but I often find my self in that scenario but you just have to find another area to hunt... in most maps you can drops pipe bombs on them from a good distance (gunner etc)
Yes they annoy me but a good spy gets me more

I played for 2 hours the other day and in every single game there was a sniper sat in his base, surrounded by turrets and traps, dude has to be nerfed tbh, or at least not be able to dominate from his own spawn with impunity.
Other then that and the anoying assassin 1-hit kills its not a bad little game.
