[Barbrady]

The most hardcore browser game I played so far involved having mobile numbers of all players in your galaxy, getting up every hour in the night to make sure there is no attack going on and if there was, calling everyone out of their beds to organize some defense. Because the game was made in such a way that the only time you could actually come through with an attack was, when the people in the attacked galaxy were asleep.

This sounds very much like l33t-wars. You had to be online 24/7 to be able to win. Since the servers were in the US, the rounds (of 2 weeks) ended always around 5:00 in the morning. You had a gang of 25 accounts, but you could manage 25 accounts by yourself. It just all took too much of my time which almost cost me my job and marriage.
A couple of years back, I played Tribal Wars. You had to login in several times a day to see if you weren't not attacked. It also took a lot of politics, because you could only win if you were part of the biggest alliance.
Die2Nite is different in that way. You can logon once or twice a day. It's just you and 39 vs.  zombies (not other players). When I'm home I can play games like TF2, Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

haha. At least his suggestions aren't totally stupid ones but he does keep saying you guys i made it to day 15! We made it to day 14, or would have done if we hadn't left the gates open . And that korgi dude has been to 16. Most people in the town i imagine have made it to 2 weeks. Defensive focus is decent but its going to be ages before we really need it. Hes probably got a point of voting it up now while we have a chance I guess.

I will. Sorry that Im not that big of a use at the moment. Im not really into it right now so often I dont know what to build without the others yelling at me and registering complaints or whatever, so Im just converting planks and other stuff every day.

in its current form its a bit limited i think, chaos mode, and ghouls + camping should make it a bit more interesting.

What the game is missing for me is that there is no connection between the zombies in the wild and the daily attacks. If there were are way to choose between eradicating zombies as a means of lowering the attack numbers instead of just standing around for hours and push some buttons for five minutes, I would very much enjoy the game.

In its current form it's just: stand here for 10 hours, hope something happens, go back to town, click around on some shit, read the orders, shut up, click some more, congratulations, you survived one more day, no one gives a fuck about what you did. It's just SO pointless.
