Yes, they went and called it Samurai X in English speaking markets. Excellent series, especially the OVA's.

Yea, the film is actually the epilogue (as in it continues on from the end of the series, it's not just a random LOL FILLER thing). Watch Brotherhood as well, both really good. btw, did you watch it with subs or dub? the dubbing for FMA isn't too bad, plus you get such amazing scenes as these:

There's also a fantastic one near the end with Maj. Armstrong, but can't find a vid anywhere

I LOVE MAJOR ARMSTRONG. Haha, well I watched it with subs because usually the women just sound so bad. Might give it another go, I found all/most of the comedy scenes brilliant anyway.

Hopped on the Anime bandwagon  again and watched Ergo Proxy, but I was disappointed by its ending. The storyline would also benefit a dozen more episodes because everything seems rushed.

Now na2s wants me to watch Code Geass. Should I care about it?

Can anyone recommend anything like Fullmetal Alchemist? Cuz it seems a lot of Anime is too far on the roflolcute side or too much on the serious side. FMA and Rurouni Kenshin cut a good balance, but I hesitate to watch a lot of Ghibli films because they're usually too much roflolcute.

WHAT. they are aimed at younger audiences but they don't have any of crap you get in pokemon etc with the stupid facial expressions, etc. FMA(dunno about FMAB) has those and is far more childish than ghilbli. Even stuff like totoro deals with an ill mother and children getting lostl. I can't really think of any where the theme is pure fluff. And grave gets really dark.

Hmm, I am being unclear.

I've seen a lot of Ghibli films and all of them were great. I'm wrong when I say the films themselves are childish, but you can only watch so much of characters who are children. Also these days I'm looking for more action orientated stuff, ie. more giant samurai ninja robot magician assassin vampire government experiment superhero battle fights.

On a side note wtf is the deal with 'nani' and 'nande'? Don't they mean the same thing? I try not to think too hard about the language because I don't understand it, but I've seen like 'sodeska' being translated into several things, yet I don't have a good grasp of what it means.

@Sonic: Ya I'm planning to get Code Geass, tried to watch it online in like 120p but gave up 1minute into the first episode. Thanks for the recommendation man.

Ok bros just finished the series and the OVAs of Rurouni Kenshin with just the movie to see next. It was awesome and I highly recommend it even though it's quite old and animation wise is nothing as fluid as FMA or Geass and stuff, but it really is worth a watch.

Now if you've seen it:

I kinda got bored towards the end, there's only so much stuff that can happen before Superman (ie. Kenshin) wins and everyone celebrates. Also don't you think the series should've ended with Shishio's death and maybe a tie-up episode? Seemed like the series lost direction for a while then came back with some Feng Shui BS to elongate it. Finally, Y U NO MARRY KAORU ((((?

Gonna start watching Clannad soon. No idea what it's about, so I hope it's good!

Ummm Clannad is a bit bleh iirc. I remember quitting halfway through on my first attempt to watch it after they left it on a "cliff hanger" with a girl about to get in trouble for putting up posters without asking the school first -.- I was all like "Fuck this shit!"
