tbh, I think a valve dota style game would be awsome..
especially if they set it in one of thier pre-existing worlds.. tf2 for example

Ever played Warcraft III ? Dota was a mod for Warcraft III.

Basically, you get to pick/control over 1 Hero unit in your team, wich usually consists out of 5 players.
You've got a base, so does your enemy, and usually 3 lanes with defensive towers on both sides leading to each base.
Minions wich you can't control spawn in waves in every lane, and attack the minions comming from the corresponding enemy  lane.
Your job is to destroy the enemy base, guard your lane (from heroes and minions) and kill (in Dota lingo: gank) enemy heroes.

That's it in a nutshell I suppose.

Oh and I think it's going to be very interesting what they come up with, if they're actually capable of making a solid RTS/dota game.

@Hzz: And the flower moves, and is much more powerful than other flowers, and the zombies are controlled by other players, and the flower has lots of special abilities, and really it's nothing like Plants vs Zombies. It's true that its nearest cousin in another genre is probably tower defence, but only because both genres have towers at some point. DotA and it's chums are very much their own thing.

Also, I've never played one and I'm quite excited about seeing one with Valve level polish and (hopefully) a less shouty community.
