Thanks for the warning Torgue, Im not gonna watch that trailer then. What the fuck is wrong with them, theyve spoiled so much about this already. I honestly would have appreciated it more if they wouldnt have told you for example who youre gonna play as this season, it would have been such an awesome surprise to find that out as youre starting to play it. It also sucks for people that havent played Season 1 yet because if you go to the storepage, they literally shove the main characters face on you, which is a big spoiler imo.

The trailer is just like the season one trailers in that they show various bits of the episode, thus spoiling some plot elements

(for instance, at the beginning of the trailer you see Omid and Christa, yet as the trailer goes on they don't show up again; IMO, that hints that something happens to them. Oh and you see the temple of someone's head who could turn out to be a certain fisherman from Florida).

And I agree with the storepage bit, they should have used the announcement picture instead. Anywho, we'll see how it all turns out on the 17th.

I haven't been following any of the Walking Dead promo stuff for Season 2. Still, I'll buy the season pass when I can be arsed sometime this week.

Im torn on this. On the one hand I had such a great experience when I bought Season 1 as a whole and played through all of it in a week, on the other hand I browse certain websites where people are assholes and just blurt out spoilers and I dont think I can avoid them for a year or however long its gonna take them. I really dont like the episodic format, its been 6 fucking months since the latest Kentucky Route Zero act and it ended on such a dumb cliffhanger hnghhhhhhh

Hmm. The first installment was quite good. If anybody doesn't have it yet and was a fan of season 1 you should get it. You start the game by importing a slot from the previous game where your choices are carried over, if you're starting season 2 w/o playing season 1 then it'll randomly generate the choices.

Quick Time event mouse prompts are annoying vague as well. :\

The "My Choices" option is quite nice, wish Telltale would show a comparison between friends...

The first episode was quite good. I started off with Omid and Christa and it certainly didn't take long for one of the two to die. Wasn't exactly convinced by it to be honest it seemed sudden and out of the blue. Also, Christa was pregnant in the first scene and after the "16 months later" bit she wasn't - what happened to the baby? :S I had a really terrible thought they were burning it as there was something over the fire but then it was said it was a weasel.

The dog bit was a bit random and after your little bout with it the predictable happens and when people come and rescue you they think you're bitten. I cannot believe that a bite that huge can't be mistaken for anything other than a canine bite... :S

The ending choice was a little easy though. The old guy got bit and had no ammo, it seemed a logical choice to make in my opinion.

I reckon, assuming so, that it's that tetchy woman from the 1st season you just abandon in the middle of the forest (episode 3 was it?). We'll see...

Omid felt like a cheap shot to remind you that nobody is safe. I expected Christa semi (?) blaming you to become more important, but I guess not.
Well, child birth ain't easy with little to no supplies. Could've been an interesting "mechanic" (child cries while zombies are nearby), but I think it worked well as a "without saying a word you know a devastating thing has happened".

End choice wasn't as obvious to me. I didn't read the situation as saving somebody's ass, but rather as who you trust to get you out. ("I see a way out" vs. "I got a gun")

Overall I think it was good, but not exceptional.
Too much running around in the woods, which I feel is not WD's strength

Played through most of season 1.
It is the first and only singleplayer game that I actually enjoyed playing, the story and 'feel' are just amazing.

I actually stopped in eposide 4 of season 1 because of a choice/mistake I made, it had me so frustrated that I took a break for a few days. Haven't played it since.

Incredible game, literally one of the best single players I have played. And there were plenty of moments that I hated it, hated the choices, hated the zombies and hated the characters. The fact a game can get you so emotionally involved is amazing.

I watched Pewdiepie on youtube play the first 10 minutes of season 2 and it left me with such an intense "oh shit" feeling that I stopped watching, to decide if I'm going to play the second season or not.

tl:dr
If you like story mode/single player games, buy it. It is truly amazing, and that is coming from a person who hasn't finishes a single campaign or story mode in the 10 years that he has been gaming.
