its a bad way to go about it but its an important issue, a ton of companies harvest details off facebook right now, and I guarantee hackers do the same, yes this method is bad, yes its going to cause VISIBLE grief, but at the end of the day hackers are currently exploiting these security holes silently and that could come back to bite you in the ass far worse than someone hacking your facebook and posting status updates about your love for willies.
Exactly, I'd hate for the first I knew of this issue to be when something much worse emerged. There will be automated harvesting tools and viruses using this method to spread to your contacts, This way people have a chance to protect themselves.
And yes Claws, ideally people shouldn't have to protect themselves from anything, but that's not the world we live in. Even if the people themselves don't change their habits, enough media attention has been given to force websites into fixing their design issues.
