Money says that within a week some dumbshit kills their mate trying to do the same thing.
Also, don't think that dude really needed a ghillie suit, I'm pretty sure the watermelon would never have seen him coming.

Why the fuck can a civilian by a .50 cal sniper rifle in america? What is he meant to use it for? Isn't that round designed primarily for shooting through cars?

You know, just in case. Also that's definitely not real, why do it for real when he's a special effects wizard

Just another note about the challenges of the English language. Why "a unique..." rather than "an unique..."? When a "u" word is pronounced as though it begins with a "y" (yoo nique), it's treated more like the consonant sound of the y. So, a university, an umbrella, a usual day, an unusual day. Yey for our complex language.

I've always understood it to be "a unique".... but will admit to being foxed with English at plenty of times.

I'd personally rather not see links to tools that make it possible for someone to hijack an account - which, forgive me, is what Firesheep is doing? Whilst I agree with what the author is trying to do, I don't approve of making this tool available for people to dick around with and upset others. I mean, WTF... is the right strategy to make a safer web REALLY one that upsets the most number of users possible? It's almost like saying that you make motorways safer by causing other people to crash!

I think it's rather like saying you make motorways safer by handing out caltrops to everyone so they can try and see how easy it is to cause crashes. Or something like that. I'm not really the car analogy type.

if you see a problem and make it public enough then someone will fix it, happens all the time with hackers. some get paid to just look for security faults.
its more like seeing a pothole in the road but no-one comes to fix it even after you report it. they'll only fix it after someone has an accident through it.

Better that it's used by enough people to make it an issue worth dealing with than used by a small amount of people with malicious intent forever. Or something.

Given that its wireless unsecure networks only I dunno if this can reach critical numbers and force action. The information from google though that their SSL implementation is extremely light weight is interesting though. Google put all their services onto https and they bought no new hardware to do it and SSL occupies like 1-2% of cpu load. Did add some latency to traffic but meh, worth it especially with broadband connections anyway.
