http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-23352230How did Paypal get hold of that much money and can they "accidentally" transfer it into my bank account - just for a week or two. Edit: It should be enough to pay off my 10 year old Wonga loan.

its just numbers on their system. Try to withdraw it all and noone will honour it. You might get away with a few thousands before they notice. But it seems they were super quick to notice this.

I wouldn't do anything with it, the interest would be enough.

You don't get interest in your paypal though, and theres noway you could get that into a bank. Most accounts actually have upper limits of like ~£1 million.

Even if they wanted, no one would be able to: There's only $1.2 trillion in circulation.

I meant into a bank account, you don't withdraw a quadrillion dollars in cash. Unless you are making a cash fortress.

Ah, pre-approved buyers only. I'd be suspicious, something like that just stuck up on e-bay. But http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-23460709This is it. It's the end. It's like that film with Nicole Kidman and that monkey with a disease that bit someone and then almost everyone in the world died until Nicole Kidman and her love interest (a misunderstood, anti-establishment scientist) saved everybody. Just like that but I don't think Nicole Kidman will be there to help us this time. (or was it aliens and pod people with Nicole Kidman......)

The modern plague strain is much less deadly. Pathogens that kill too many hosts are not successful, extreme mutations that cause epidemics are generally evolutionary dead ends and strains that remain will be less lethal (because if all the hosts are dead so is the pathogen).
