Im absolutely gutted to read this!
Your recruitment into WDG was a personal highlight for me when I was clan leader, and the clan is weaker and worse off without you. 

My thanks for your contribution to the clan, i hope you will continue to visit and be around.

As for shout box posts, i have no idea what went on as i have been afk. Lets all just think twice before we post in future.

Oh come one.. I thought I made clear that that wasn't the reason I left.. just the.. top of the iceberg (Is that correct? Sounds funny to me ) )

To make it more clear: Most of the time I was Lully, Powers fiancée. I want to be more appreciated for myself: Lully aka Nadine (and Powers fiancée).
There only have been a few members which have really been interested in what is going on and so. Of course it is also my fault as I'm just too "shy" to talk a lot to other people and ask them how they are and stuff. I just don't want to annoy anyone.
And if I wrote something about my life, what I like or whatever, I just heard: Bah no.. awww he sparkles... whatever That is how you do it and that is okay, I just need some more answers like: Yes, I like that too, let's talk about it!

But yes, we (men) can be really insensitive clods. But we don't mean it most of the time, so I hope the decision to join the clan that day was because you've gotten to know us (the clan) as a bunch of nice people. (Not, of course, because you are Power's fiancée.)

If anything, then please stop thinking that you are annoying anyone. We love to hear your opinion, it's just mostly we (men, and the clan) don't go on inquiring about it. Just make yourself heard, don't be shy. You're such a nice person, I don't get how you would think of annoying anyone.

IMHO I think you hit us (the clan) quite a bit in the gender equality department, which may end up being a good thing I guess, at least it got me thinking a bit.

Just know that you will always remain most welcome around here. We like to keep our nice people around.

I can understand how difficult it must be to elbow yourself in between the puns and the innuendos, but I'd like to think no one ignored you in the grounds that you're a girl and girls are smelly or the fact that you're powers fiancee. Your feminine touch will be missed on the forums.

Devil's Advocate: Will this ever change if women keep out of "men's domain" and vice versa?

In this spot, at this time, you are a female in a predominantly male community. As an individual you should be equal among us (and I like to believe this was/is the case). But of course the male majority will shape the way we talk to each other, the topics we discuss, the way we express ourselves.

Hopefully you will agree that this should not significantly change simply because some of our community members are female. After all, we are who we are, and each of us is expressing his individuality - including his (or her) sexual identity - and that informs our opinions and our way of interacting with each other. Doing otherwise would mean to censure ourselves. A way of social "political correctness".

That should not excuse overly rude behaviour, sexism or lack of personal respect! Far from that!
But on the other hand I'm sure you don't want to be 'handled' with kid's gloves just because you're female. You have the right to love 'Twilight'. But the fact that you're female will not prevent me from making fun of you (BUT not you as an individual, but you as an individual with crappy taste ).

I certainly hope that you will stay as part of this community. I would love if we had more females here. I would love to have female opinions and sensibilities making this community richer (but by adding, not by 'averaging' to some asexual middle-ground). And you would just make as much fun of our male idiosyncrasies as we would of yours.

I think we should learn to accept each other as different, and learn to respect each other as different.
This - as banal and silly as it is - is actually a good example that we still have some way ahead of us.

At the same time teatime, that's what real-lifes for. Apart from the pub, the internet's one of the last few places where we can let it 'hang-out' so to speak (I can tell this is going to be phixed).

Quite frankly what keeps me comming back to these forums time and time again is the level of immaturity by people who otherwise wouldn't act so (I assume).

I accept Tea's point, but I can also see if you're posting about things you like and care about and just get 'lol that's crap'...well after a while that would start to get a bit annoying.

Many of us have been around here for a while (either as WDG or regs), and so I can imagine it can all feel a bit blokey and cliquey sometimes. I think the server is really friendly and inclusive - I don't think I've ever really heard female players get hassle, and certainly not  from WDG or regs - it's a very 'normal' bunch of people.

I'm not sure the forums give quite as good an impression : *personally* I think we can overdo things a bit sometimes, which is why I avoid certain threads. So I can see why some people might be put off and wonder if they have anything in common with us at all. This is just a general comment btw, nothing to do with Lully
