Apparently the power pyramid consists of roughly 11,000 blocks.

Dammit, Now I gotta teleport back and fix it. Oh well. Might start putting in a labyrnth inside. That could be fun. Would be nice if buckets worked so I could make a lava pit...

I got 10812 when it was 51 high. 12 + 20 + 28 + ... + 412 + 412+404+396+ ... + 12 = 424+424+424+ ... +424 Therefore: 12 + 20 + 28 + ... + 412 = 424 X (51/2) = 10812

Hm, well since I like doing unnecessary maths.... The first three levels have 12, 20 and 28 cobblestone blocks respectively, which is clearly going up in multiples of 8. So a formula to find out how many are on a certain level (say level n) is 12+(n-1)*8 or 4+8n Since this is an arithmetic progression, the sum to n terms (or in this case, the sum of all the blocks up to a certain level) is n/2 * [ 2*12 + (n-1)*8] or 8n + 4n^2 So if its 51 high, it should be 408 + 10404 = 10812

Have gone as high as I can go on my tower now. You can jump off the highest point and fall to the lowest point now. Next project is my underground lair.
Took a longer look at Brahms' awesome inverted pyramid I take back what I said about it not being impressive on the inside, at night with the torches at the corners it is impressive just for the sheer size.

How is it only gaining 8 each time? Is it hollow?

I've begun work on the labyrinth inside.
It's going to take some damn work.

Doesn't that kind of defeat the object of the game though?

yes, i'd heard surviving the first night is like a thing and you need to make shelter, but i just stood on top of a tree and shouted swears at the skeletons. Slightly disappointed theres not a greater degree of challenge, if i just want to dick around building i can do that on the mp server.

You're disapointed at the lack of challenge after you exploited a bug/glitch/design flaw/whatever to survive your first night?
Hows about trying to make a shelter rather then trying to game the game?
