Brahms agrees that surface farming would be fun. building and maintaining a surface farm would be pretty entertaining, I think. Esp if he implements seasons in some way.

It'd need some way to hold animals if a chunk unloads (and some way to herd them too). Maybe anything enclosed in fences with a gate is preserved like chests? It'd only need to store numbers of animals.

possibly just a block tbh. Either a spawner that gives a small herd in a given time, or a storage block for animals which is like their night time pen they seek out. and you can place that anyway just you'd want it in pens so they didn't get out all the time. Although making fences functional is a good idea. They block arrows and stuff but all i used them for atm is holding creepers back from footpaths

I have tried updating the server - but it's still crashing. I think it might be a problem with the world file. I'll see if trying a different world allows the server to start.
