Yeah I also have two crates (series #1, there are apparently multiple series?). Don't need anything in return per se, but if you have some items that I'm missing I wouldn't mind:

Crit-a-cola, Sydney sleeper, The Shortstop, The Mackarel, The Bushwacka, The Blackbox, The Vita-Saw, Your Eternal Reward. If you don't have any of these items to give away, I don't care, you can get the crates anyway.

The stats are a bit poor, I think its fairly safe to assume though that series one gives a 2.5% chance of unusual and series 2 gives 5%.

Sure, looks like a good item to train medic survivability (like scouts sandman). You're not online, so I guess you're not at home posting this?

EDIT: From that forum thread alone: As of post 457: 1369 crates = $3408.81, not quite up there with Notch yet, but it's just one small part of the revenue.

the problem with just having people report in rather than a controlled set is people are more likely to report in when they get something cool like a hat or an unusual hat so those numbers may be miles out

There are also people who don't visit SPUF at all.. or the TF2Wiki for that matter. Yeah, the actual money amount from the crates alone is way higher, goes without saying. Then there are the gift packages, that are only obtainable by paying, but those I'm actually okay with. Rich Valve getting more rich shocker. Tongue

oh i meant the percentages, i'd like to believe series 2 gives a 5% drop rate of unusual but that seems a little high and is probably inflated by people coming in and going omg i got an unusual hat and failing to report all the equalisers they got. And i'm cool with valve getting richer to a point but would suck if they went the way of blizzard, although who knows if blizz are now dicks because they got to rich or because they are spooning activision
