I'm so going to install this on my creaking, slow laptop. It should run just fine!

If it'll run on a p2, it'll run on your laptop.. intel GMA chips handle it at max without issues.. the game is almost as old as games themselves ffs..

Exactly my point, I have an Intel Celeron 1.8 (which is a cut down Pentium 4) with 2gig ram and an ATI mobility gfx card. I wish I'd thought of AOE2 sooner as something I can play! Missing TF2 badly, not to mention L4D2....

I haven't got a favourite pc game but for me the best game evar was the arcade version of Ghosts n Goblins closely followed by Nemesis (awesome power ups). If I could find any arcade machines with these games on, I'd buy em for my office

I liked Nemesis too... good shoot-em up. If you want to play these again... look for M.A.M.E (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) - and the actual ROM files from the arcade machines (subject to the usual legal restrictions on their use - but hey, you may be a developer who is working on emulation eh?). PM me for some follow up on these items mate

Only costs 10 DOLLARS for a month of access to the whole game library - 1000something games (there is also a fairly big collection of PC games, but 64bit compability is somewhat limited currently).
