Hello lovely people of Matt Fest....

We are so chuffed we've got nearly 40 people coming - and still another 50 to reply so get the pressure on!

Just a few things to note before you arrive..

TICKET REQUIREMENT:
Wendy and Graham would love to have each of you bring a favourite memory of our lovely Matt, so that in the more darker times, their spirits can be lifted by what his friends love to remember about him. So please write this down on a piece of paper and hand it in at the door! THIS IS YOUR TICKET!!!
It doesn't have to be very long- just anything you like...
SERIOUSLY- just jot it out on a bit of paper and get it done!


THE FEST:
So far, we've got rock bands, a SKA band, and special guest singers!
We've got a projection screen with Matt's fave films being played...
We've got a professional face painter...
We've got a VEGAN chilli...

and we've got a Sailor Jerry Tiki Tiki Bar!!

SLEEPING:
Please bring a tent and sleeping bag! The Garden is massive and enough room for us all to camp! Proper Fest!

WHAT TO BRING:
Apart from the above for sleeping, just bring enough warm clothes and maybe wellies in case it rains. Also, there will be booze provided but do bring your liquor of choice too. There's a wee shop opposite the house if you'd prefer to wait till you get here to buy supplies.

HOW TO GET HERE:
Get a train to Amazingstoke (BASINGSTOKE). Upon arrival you can get the bus number 5 or number 8 to Oakley which should take about 20 mins. If there are a few of you arriving at the same time, send a message to Graham and Wendy and they can pick you up in the landrover.
Get off when you see the pub 'The BARLEY MOW'... the stop will be at the pond. The house 'Number 16, Deepwell Cottage' is directly opposite the pub.

If you get stuck please phone the house I'll provide the number if anyone wants it

LASTLY...The Festival will start from 12pm onwards on the Saturday (24th) and the next day (the sunday) THERE IS A THEME!
To honour Matt's 'style'... WE ARE ALL GONNA BE PUNKS!! So don't forget your fancy dress!!

Edit: Final decision- Most likely won't be able to make Saturday at all. Will drive down on Sunday, with Mrs the Cat. Hope that's ok.

Got a bit more info, although that info message said Saturday and Sunday, it's more a case of everything happening on the Saturday, and Sunday being a hangover recovery day, probs with a BBQ or something, so dunno if that makes a difference to you Tommy.

Also, don't worry too much about the whole punk thing, a) you're meant to do it on the Sunday b) I suspect a bunch of people will turn up as like 80's punks i.e. leather jackets etc etc which Matt was very much not. Tis just my Mum attempting to cram as much in as possible (not necessarily a bad thing). But feel free to fashion your hair into some sort of Mo/Faux/SweetJesusWhatIsThat-Hawk

On reflection my work schedule is a bit more erratic than previously thought, so might be able to do both days. But Sunday might be better if I'm bringing Mrs the Cat along.
