I'm with Brahms on this. This is like saying "Okay, you can have three more players, but one of them has to be invisible most of the time and one of you will be limited to building teleporters when attacking. Oh also you can only have one soldier, who is then supposed to kill two of ours. Also, your medic has to heal 8 people, instead of 5. Nevermind that everyone of us can easily kill two of your sort if not more. You should really have 12 people. Anyway, have fun!" Not impressed with this project tbh.

Perhaps a class limit of 2 for Scout and Soldier. That way you'd have a standard 6v6 team plus three other classes?

I don't know, maybe the pros aren't in their srs bsnss mode? I didn't watch the previous matches, but this one felt highly unbalanced to me. Maybe the pubstars weren't all that great, I can't compare to previous matches, but from the classes I consider myself okay at (scout, heavy, medic), I was mostly confused by what was going on on the pubstars team.

All I'm saying is that adding a perceived "balance", by giving the pubstars classes that would be useless against 6 div1 people and are highly situational and taking away one soldier and one scout, is not adding much of a balance. IMO it's just adding some more meat for the pros to shoot at. In this match one soli had a fucking triple kill on gravelpit point B. One of the two soldiers...

Well you're not Div1 yet, but you can kill two people in one life, can't you?

My answer would be: "I don't care, I didn't come up with this setup". But then again, I'm an asshole.

I didn't see any of the matches, but my gut feeling sides with Power.

What is the point? The extra couple of players do not offer an advantage over a pro team in my eyes. By restricting classes to one, you actually handicap the pubs more I think (i.e. loss of a scout or solly).

I don't really want to dip my little fly in all your ointments, but this isn't a srsbzns match, Shintaz organizes them to try and get more people interested in comp play, much like the upcoming Highlander Cup. These matches are more of a spectacle then an actual "who's better" deal, so the only thing that matters really, isn't who wins or looses, but how many people start playing comp after watching/being involved.

I'd watch out Junta, claiming the amount of love might go up leaves could give people unrealistic expectations.

Also: Yeah, Hz is right, I don't suppose the match really matters at all. It just seemed pretty unbalanced to me and I was curious as to what the deal was.

You guys are talking like it was a complete rickroll. Gpit was pretty damn close, if the pubbers had been even a bit more co-ordinated they could have won.

These are PUB players, not superstars. It's ridiculous to complain that they were bad.
