While Mumble isn't as intuitive to use - I believe it's still the best latency wise - so I don't think we'll be switching anytime soon. i40 will be the place to test it though as then you can actually hear the lag when the other person is sat next to you.

IMHO both mumble and TS3 are about the same, and both are miles away from ts2 & ventrilo. (For fun: In TS2 server get a buddy and start counting, tell him to synchronize with your counting. You'll hear about 1-2seconds delay instead of the 50 or whatever ms the server is actually away.) I personally prefer mumble and client wise they don't seem to give each other much. Server software seems to be easier for TS3 but I don't know/care Also @Chaos: I can has mumble back?

I use TS3 in TLL and its a good programme. But having used Mumble and it's integral overlay feature (something thats is lacking with any consitency in TS3) I'd have to agree that it is *currently* the better programme.

I use both, Mumble for my TF2 Team and talking with u guise and TS3 for some RL friends and my WoW Guild
Think theyre both quite equal, allthough I hate TS3 for not setting down my gamesound in win7 automatically. Mumble does that for me. TS3 has a nice G15 plugin where I can use the buttons on the LCD to mute myself and stuff, kinda neat.
Oh and I also use Skype. "HES DIFFERENT. GET HIM!!!!"

Agree for 50%. TS2 was terrible, the delay and the phone-ish quality just sucked. TS3 on the other hand is a huge step forwards, no sucky delay and the quality is quite on a level with mumble/skype/vent.

Mumble ftw, great overlay, low latency, awesome quality and speech detection.
What "damn nice features (that no prog else has)" more do you need?

The ability to turn individuals volume up or down client side.
