I currently have the 7800GT GPU and I want to upgrade. I have £200 to spend and I was going to buy the 275GTX, however I learned it has been discontinued so I need an alternative. I am not really bothered about DirectX 11, especially if it means the card won't be as good as the directX 10 alternative. Thanks, Bl4ck

Am thinking ATI HD 5830. I'm likely to be told I'm wrong, so inb4 Chaos Kinda depends on the size of your penis monitor though.

If your monitor is 1680x1050 or below a 5770 is all you need £130, if you have a 1900xsumat spend an extra few quid for a 5850 or get a second hand one.
Also what's your CPU? Not point buying a 5850 if a slow CPU bottlenecks it.

My moniter is 1900, and my CPU will bottleneck it slightly if I go for the 5830 or 50. However I am going to upgrade the CPU relativly soon to the i5 or i7 so that should't be a problem.

You're likely to need a new mobo and memory with that…

I told him to get a 5850 so I'm the winner in all this. Plus, I told him to make this forum post. Double points for Deadly all round!

I paid £200 for a 5850 have prices gone up or something? Why would you spend £200 on a 5830?

 I wanna buy a 5850, but the cheapest 58 30 i've seen so far was >£200.
