I know I make a similar thread about two years ago but many people have joined and left since then. We just want to know why you called yourself what you did.
The name Millicent Bystander was taken from the film Flushed Away where the hero claims he is just an innocent bystander and is misheard by one of the villains.

I find myself stark naked except for a pair of latex gloves attempting to pull on a pair of red tights on in my parent's spare bedroom.

I'll detail my three main names at present,
mode_seven is taken from the graphical mode used on the SNES by which a bitmap could be layed down to form a pseudo-3D plane. Yes, I'm aware how geeky this is!
icassu is a name I formed from a lyric in "The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite" by R.E.M., "I can always sleep standing up".
Jesus started from one of the Friday night Frag-Fests, general good people I think? The joke kind of continued from there when I never bothered to change my name back!

Lister - a character from one of my all time favourite comedy series (red dwarf) and it doubles up as sounding similar to my actual name (Alistair) so it was an easy choice :>

I don't even remember where Mr Chug comes from. Chuggybear is either a reference to Starsky and Hutch or the product of John and Dave's feverish minds.

I used to go by the name Darkshadow which I half came up with after seeing the graffiti tag BlackShadow on the wall of a ride at Drayton Manor when I was 11. Then the other month I was looking at names on steam and realised I was one of about 2000 Darkshadows so I thought of some names until I came up with Captain Valentine and have stuck with it since. The Captain in the name comes from the fact that I was watching a lot of Star Trek: TNG at the time.

My first name for games like CS and TFC was "Killababy"... but when I got older I really hated that name So I had to find another one. I chose Lullaby because people fall asleep when I tell a story exactly like someone would sing a lullaby! Actually I just wanted an english name/word with a nice sound.

College/school nickname; 2 people called Harris, I was Hizza, he was Hazza. Dropped the "i" in college to make it gangsta. Also, this.

I pick the one saying "This video is not available in your country". You realize that means you can never visit Germany ...

I used to be called 'Unwanted' because my mum always used to say she wished I'd never been born. my psychiatrist, advised me to let it go so it was a choice of YapYead because of my yap shaped head, or BigEars which became irrelevant after I had them pinned back. So, I chose Nineblade after the false prophet from Life Of Brian because he reminded me of my grandmother

t'was saints night and you cheated because jesus isn't a saint! Now I remember, it was saints and general good people. We definitely had Mother Theresa as well, who isn't a saint either. EDIT: Oh bollocks, fine. Jesus is still an awesome name though.
