I notice some people actually trying heavy out lately... and liking it! (Cruel and Zarf for example). He can be very fun, just remember you're not allowed to kill me with my own favourite class!  Is it the recent change in walking / spin up speed that has helped? Why haven't you guys tried heavy before? |

Medic heavy combo dominates pubs, but I prefer soldier or similar because you can be flexible with movement i.e rocket jump about.

I tried him before, I just died in a hail of bullets within seconds every single time. Recently I retried him and it didn't happen, dunno why. I don't think it's the buff. It might be because I hardly play heavy, but if the patch notes wouldn't have told me, I wouldn't have noticed anything. |

I've seen cruel as a heavy before. And I've started playing scout simply for a change. I'm bored of a lot of other classes and theres room for improvement in my scouting. Maybe its the same for them. With my main classes i'm at the point where i'd need to put a lot of effort in training to improve and meh.

When I get bored of playing soldier or scout I always seem to end up switching to heavy. I like that you know what to do when you're heavy and the controls are very simple |

I like the improved spin times, it makes it a lot harder to ambush the heavy.

I used to play him reasonably often, but was sniping as my main. I've been taking a break from sniping recently though through boredom and going heavy main - heavy is more about planning and map knowledge than having my eye in The spinup change has helped, I feel a lot more mobile now. In addition the time it takes to spin up the minigun is now close enough to the weapon switch time that the sandvich is worth taking which significantly increases your survivability and in combination with the extra mobility makes you a much better solo player, you can do lots of ambushing in close quarters and heal back up to full in seconds. Having played around with Natasha, I've returned to Sascha, The extra DPS is too good to give up. I'm usually getting KPD of between 2 and 3. Unless the other team have a good spy / sniper. |
