Hello there Power didn't now about it until now but I want a new mobilephone with a good camera as our digital camera is an asshole It is so sad that I can't take more pictures of the kids as the camera eats the batteries and I can only take 5 pictures until the cmaera turns itself off... So I just saw that I could buy a pink LG KP500 for 100 € (85.44 GBP) instead of 140 €. I tried to find some tests about how the camera is but I found so many different oppinions that I'm not sure whom to trust.. so I ask you! Does someone maybe have it or know someone who hast it? I would ask my brother but he is in "Milan" right now (Lucky guy!) Or is there another mobilephone with a good camera in that price category (~ 100 € = 85.44 GBP)?

Are you looking to get a sim free phone or is there a specific network you were looking at?

Why not get a cheapish digital camera, spend £60 and you'll get essential features like zoom and autofocus that even the most expensive camera phones don't have.

Uhm.. a specific network (E-Plus) But now I'm worried as there is written: contract free, no SIM-lock What?

Because we did that with our existing digital camera. (79 €)

Contract free means you wont have to pay a monthly service free and the no SIM-lock means you can use the phone with any network.

I didn't realise mobiles were so expensive, haven't seen anything with a good camera at that price so far. Also all the reviews on that phone seem to agree that the touchscreen isn't very good quality and is quite unresponsive.

If you did decide to get a camera I'd recommend a Canon Powershot A480, they're around €90 at the moment I think. My girlfriend got one for Christmas and it takes good pictures. Also takes batteries rather than being rechargeable which is useful if you cant get to a charger.

Thanks a lot! My thought was that I don't have to take a mobilephone and a digital camera to the playground so it would eb nice to have both in one device. But if you all think the cameras of mobilephones aren't good enough, I should find another camera

The only decent cameras on mobile phones come on phones that are really expensive. They aren't worth getting unless they come free with a monthly contract to be honest.

The best mobile phone camera I've ever seen is the Sony Ericsson Cybershot C905 8.1 megapixlees . I got one as an upgrade for my Nokia N95 but because I'm too lazy to read the instructions for moving my contacts, I've never got round to using it. Canon Ixus 300 is quite nice but not cheap. Nevermind the price...pay for nowt, go to court....fuck em!
