Can just picture the scene. Gordon Brown is brought into the Lib Dems underground lair flanked by 2 yellow clad henchmen.  Nick Clegg is sitting in the middle of the dimly room in a black leather chair stroking a fluffy white cat.

Nick "Mr Brown, I've been expecting you"

Gordon "Hello, Nick, ye know why I've come"

Nick "Why Mr Brown I didn't know you cared"

Gordon "Stop playing games Clegg, what do you want"

Gordon has just flat out offered a referendum on changing the electoral system. Hes trying his hardest to woo clegg. And I seriously doubt we'll get that with the tories, but then again the tories know they're not going to get lib dem support without electoral reform so hmm, I don't think i'm going to get any work done today

Check this out for not making sense, shows how fucked up our voting system is towards encouraging polarising parties:

Seats gained per million votes -

Conseravtive - 306/10.7 = 28.6
Labour - 258/8.6 = 30
Lib Dem - 57/6.8 = 8.4

Posted those numbers on another forum, to the result of many WTF's and Lulz from our European neighbours

Labour seats: 40% vote: 29% +11% discrepancy
Tories seats: 47% vote: 36% +11% discrepancy
Lib dem seats: 9% vote: 23% (down because of two party squeeze booooo) -14% discrepancy
