Right well in the interest of being fair and honest here comes a statement
Junta did a LOT of work to make this run as smoothly as possible! Seriously.. he did a LOT! I felt he was doing more than I was throughout the middle stages of the competition so I felt his word held more weight over the future of the cup more than my own. While I may not have agreed fully with his decision at the time and still didn't until not so long ago with this "early ending" of the cup, I have learnt to trust his judgement on things like this as he's usually spot on and fair. Pretty much all the WDG leaders have good perception so a little trust and understanding of their hard work will do a great justice to them
. I have never known them to make a rash quick decision and every event is discussed between them at great length and with a lot of thought about every side of a debate. At the end of the day, Junta is right. The cup was dragging out for whatever reason. Lots had issues be it TF2 related or RL and this IS NOT a competitive cup and it sure as hell isn't ETF2L!!! It's just a bit of fun and it took too long (organising of matches ect..).
For those of you who feel left out, here's something that might help! I plan to do something else in the future. Something just as fun but instead of planning it myself, It'll have more thought and ideas from more people
. On that thought, If any of you would like more input over the next community event I come up with, let me know and I'll get you involved with the planning
TL:DR? Cut the Leaders and I some slack.. it's supposed to be a laugh!
