Server seems to have restarted at 7:12pm last night. No signs of any crash dump files on the server - did any admin restart it for any reason?

I'm concerned to hear that about Rackage as I've never had any problems with their support staff in the past, although thinking about it, something that happened recently does make me wonder. It's certainly something I'll be keeping an eye on.

If you are in the market for a new host, have a look at uFrag (as you can probably guess, given that they sponsor NuB). We have 4 L4D2 servers with them, provided in return for advertising them on our website, and XI's TF2 server is also hosted with them. One good thing about them is that they use the same control panel software as Rackage, so the interface would already be familiar to you.

Thanks Doomy.

I can say that the Rackage support has seemed worse in terms of the quality of response. I have pretty much been told to "re-install" at most server problems I report these days (and with what appears to me to be little or no initial investigation on their part). This never used to be the case, so it is sad really that it has come to this.

I'd definitely recommend a move away from them tbh.

I have made the following changes to Server #1 due to various requests:

- Fast respawn times are now re-enabled
- Class limits are back in place (2 sniper, 2 spy, 3 of everything else)
- The time now shows in the correct format :p

It has *always* been on...in the exception of when it's broken or we were having server stability issues.

It's the thing that prevents us sitting for 15 seconds every time we die waiting to spawn, and allows you to jump spawn waves, so that games are actually fun! Yay! (but not instant)

I think the way it works is by reducing the TF2 respawn wave times. Using vanilla respawn times you can have to wait up to 20 seconds to spawn depending on the wave timer and/or if a point has been capped (which I think can reset the timer again?)

The fast respawn should mean that you'll never wait longer than roughly 10-15 seconds before respawning. And that's including the kill cam which is 4 or 6 seconds.
