FAKE, this video has been faked. I can tell from the highlights and from seeing quite a few fake videos about Photoshop in my time.

i was sceptical that it was maybe an early april fools but SIGGRAPH is the big conference for this kindof thing and from that presentation on resizing it doesn't take much of a leap of faith to assume this kindof image processing could be done with a brush tool. The results in the video I expect have been picked so it won't work perfectly like that the whole time, but it certainly looks good enough to make me consider buying photoshop for once but eesh the price tag is still insane i'm sure.

That video is photoshopped. I know I'm repeating, but I always wanted to say that without sounding stupid.

Hmm, having seen quite a few graphics algorithms in my CS student days, it does look a bit advanced.
Granted, the removing of the tree was in front of a rather simple gradient background, which can be handled quite well, the filling of the panorama was also believable enough (repeating/mirroring), otoh the removal of the road looked a bit unconvining. Definitely doable, but the vid makes it look like it works a lot better than it probably actually will in day-to-day shoopage.
My .02 EUR.

If it can save photoshoppers time, I am sure there is a great use for it as a base which can then be altered to tune the image to photoshopped perfection, heh. Looks cool, nice video
