I'm not sure if my internet connection can take it but if it can i can play in the evenings. I'd quite like 2 continents but with lots of islands, start on the continents but islands to give us some reason to build a navy. And perhaps we can just find a prebuilt map thats been fixed for balance, that way we dont have to look at it too closely but know its fair

Wow...that's a pretty massive game mechanic to remove! I thought that religion was one of the most balanced and well-worked things in the game. I hope they've got some interesting stuff to replace it with.

I seriously hope its for gameplay reasons and not because they are babies. I was reading a C&C4 interview and it seems EA overuled the lead designer on using references to kane as biblical cain, which is already part of the story... Sigh

EDIT: It looks like its to make the game more "accessible" which is almost as bad, perhaps worse because its just a dumbing down of the gameplay

Sounds good Milli - I can probably do most evenings as well. I've not actually used the world editor - personally I like the idea of having no idea where I am or what's around me but if it helps to even things up a bit then sure.

We were just practising in that game I recall. For starters, we setup the map wrong (my bad!) because it was so frikkin' huge and I turned down the amount of Civ's!

Can do world editor thing, but I too prefer everyone to start with no knowledge. As long as the map type - as you say, 2 continents and no islands, it'd be easy to find each other. If it was on quick game, well, it'd speed things up considerably and meaning a player who is knocked out can play again sometime. Also note we could even get it done in a day, or evening, perhaps...

Note though I'd not mind a pretty standard affair of course. Also, INDIANS RULE BUT ARE NOT THAT UBERPOWERFUL DISCORD get no military might those guys, it's all build build build!

Oooh, forgot about the rather crappy Shogun overview map. Yeah, no really much to do there, heh

Get me on steam whenever (I'm just busy Tue and Thur mainly), I'm well up for another game.

Oh yeah I should have mentioned tons of civ deals too, civ4 complete at a reasonable price for one its £8 or £10 on amazon so £6.25 is finally a price worth paying on steam.

Whatever, without a decent actual set of information available about the game I might give it a pass just to play more Civ4, haha! I'm still not convinced from what the preview website says.
