Got my electricity bill today. The good news, I used less than their estimates, so I'm £35 in credit. The bad news, from next month my bill will increase by eighty fucking percent.

I managed to keep it low in the summer by not using hot water so..

We had something like that too last year. I found out that electricity got more expensive so they told us to pay more in advance so we won't need to pay 1000000 € at the end of the year. Maybe it is something like that too? You could make a fire in the garden to heat up the water/have light, store food outside = cold... ah whatever everything gets more and more expensive.. unfortunately the salary usually stays the same. |
