Onwards with the broadband saga - phoned up UkOnline today to find out why my regrade hadn't happened yet, turns out that the web interface is in it's own little world and bears no relation to reality ... and they can't regrade manually. So I'm not tied into the 12 month contract that I though I was.
Promptly requested my MAC, cancelled Direct Debit and signed up with Xilo business broadband, Line should be active on or before the 14th. It's expensive, but it should work. I get 832 upload as well so shouldn't have a problem hosting voice comms.

Aye, When I signed up with them a couple of years ago they were one of the top ISP's - reasonable speeds, no throttling, 24/7 0800 UK tech support ... Then Sky indirectly bought them. They were competition to Skys own products so Sky has been slowly strangling them to death since - the Signup page on the website has been "down for maintenance" for 18 months.

In the meantime, the DHL guy who drives on mondays actually knows what he is doing, so I've been playing around with my new Cisco router. Net does seem to be slightly better with it so I'll see how it fares in TF2 tonight as the last gasp of my old ISP.

Things are bad at my current job, my direct boss who is the MDs wife has had a nervous breakdown, we are down to me and one lady in the office and 2 people in the factory now.  There were 10 people working here two months ago.

Oh, on a lighter note one of the fitters has had tattooed on his lower arm; Carlsberg, probably the best tattoo in the world.  Nice looking work and I suppose it's better than "bitch" which he has tattooed on his other arm

Fuck, wish i'd have used google before posting on here. I may go and cover their door and them in stickies. Turns out its some people who say they are an advertising company or some shit like that and then you go and have your interview and then a second and then find out its a door to door salesman on commission only for some dodgy product. Thought it seemed a bit too easy...

Might go if i'm bored and see how crazy I can act in the interview and still get offered the job and then turn around and say piss off. FU real world

Yeah, couple of my girlfriends mates got done by some of those; they invite you along for an interview then try and sell you summit, usually some kind of bogus training thing that ends up costing a couple of grand. Unlucky mate .
