Yesterday evening a really, really good friend of mine told me that her younger sister died on wednesday. She was 20 years old and no one knows what happened yet. Her father found her dead in the bed in the morning. One week earlier she has been to the doctor to check if everything is okay and he said yes...

I'm just telling you this so you never forget: If you really want something, don't wait too long because it could be too late... Rest in peace Jenny

Thats truly awful, no warning , nothing, my heart goes out to the family.

So far today has been very productive, cleaned out our guinea pigs (now separated into male and female hutches) and rabbit.

I also ran up to Halfords and bought some new spark plugs and spark plug remover for my Mazda as it was suffering from a bad misfire at low revs and a mechanic friend said it was most likely the spark plugs.  As I'd never changed spark plugs before (or actually ever done any car maintenance before beyond checking oil, water and fitting the odd stereo) I was a bit apprehensive.

It was as easy as changing a graphics card on a PC without the annoying driver installation.  The spark plugs were totally buggered, I'm suprised the car ran at all.  It now runs smoother than silky the silk worm in silk underwear.  Cost; £12 for spark plugs, £5 for the tool.

I also bought an adaptor for my Sony car stereo to replace the awful Pioneer head unit that was there.  Yay for analogue volume controls and MP3 player connectivity!

I also disconnected the electric ariel which took about 5 mins to raise and made an awful noise whilst doing so.

That hopefully is the end of my productivity drive and I plan to do nothing for the rest of the day apart from screaming at the kids to behave and changing nappies.

I had an awesome weekend. Not working, YAY! Had guest over, even bigger YAY! Many highlights, but one of the best had to be taking HeX & Fade's childeren down to Toys R Us (I took HeX & Fade along as well). As a result of the trip I've turned there little boy into a Ninja by getting the Snake Eyes kit fro GI Joe, and their little girl got very exicted about Upsi-Daisy from the Night Garden (I think that's the name of it). Fade did find the tripod mounted, fully automatic, belt fed, Nerf gun. But HeX said that he had been very naught and that I wasn't to get it Sad Didn't say anything about not getting it for Christmas though Smiley

Extremely sad news, my best wishes for her family and you her friend.

If there is any *small* measure of consolation, at least sounds like it was a quick exit from this world. I think to not wake up is probably one of the gentlest ways to go.....

Yep - normally a vision presented to staff using more money than it would take to actually just do it.....
Fingers crossed it isn't crap news Wink

I'm starting to get a bit worried about the financial viability of the company I work for.  We seem to be carrying out loads of work, getting the money for it but I haven't been able to put in a proper stock order since before Christmas.  I have a nasty feeling we have been pricing fitting jobs way too cheaply.

Today I am totally out of nearly everything so therefore the trade counter has pretty much ceased to function.

Today I am mostly looking for a new job.

Edit: Why, when I ask for a job 15 miles from Broadstairs do I get jobs in London, Sussex and Essex.  RAGE!
