Hi everyone!
Some of you may remember me from the distant past. I've not been around very much recently because I've been super busy with RL which is one of the reasons why I left in the first place.
Went to Tenerife a couple of weeks ago for a cheap all-inclusive getaway with some friends from work which was pretty fun. Self-service bar from 10am to 6pm by the pool and then up to 4 drinks at a time each from the main bar. Went banana boating which was pretty fucking
terrifying fun. We also did parascending which was a bit more relaxing!
Some of you may remember a while ago that I was organising setting up a social initiative at work - that's taken longer than I'd hoped to get off the ground but we've run a few events so far - some networking events, organised yoga classes, had someone in to give massages to employees. We've also been doing our bit for 'inspiring future generations of engineers' with attending the Big Bang Fair at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry - organised us to have a stand there for the day with some of our products / fuel cells etc. which was a really nice day - lots of kids coming to ask questions etc.
Then I got to go to Glastonbury last weekend for free, with backstage passes for the Shangri La stage thanks to my friend Mr Doddy
We went there, partied super hard and had a super awesome time. Particular highlights were Dolly Parton's anecdotes and doing the Benny Hill music!
Saw lots of cool bands, drank lots of beer, got very muddy, raved away and partied hard.
Apart from that, been pretty busy with work - dodged a trip to China (more like spending 6 weeks there!) for work because of my trip to Tenerife and been trying to put another Giant Tetris together but I ordered the wrong size parts - doh!
All in all, not doing too badly but feel pretty overwhelmed with how much stuff is going on!
