Saw Skyfall today, was actually quite impressed, anyone else notice the very subtle Johnny English reference? Not so impressed with the 15 minutes late starting and the half hour of adverts/trailers.
Actually got to drive the Espace about in the daylight after reading the instructions, it's still nice. The stereo is hidden (there is no centre console, the space is taken up by a 2 story glove box) with steering wheel controls and a CD changer in the boot. The manual also tells of a lost cassette player but so far no one can be bothered to discover it.
Also took the Zafira to the garage to have a strange noise looked at. Turns out the gearbox and waterpump are dying. £600 to fix. Looks like it's going on Gumtree at a knock down price.

... with steering wheel controls and a CD changer in the boot. Wow! You have to drive from the boot? Crazy French.

My Car Alarm magically fixed itself overnight. (And I was already prepared to go dive deep into the cable harnesses to find the fault...) Last three days it didn't want to disengage for more than a minute, which lead to me being undeservedly honked at when I was too slow to get in or out. Also I had to lower the window and unlock from the outside if I wanted to get out quietly.
In other news I went swimming today and didn't preform significantly worse since January, with pretty much no training in the meantime. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad sign.

You had to 'lower the window and unlock from the outside' - I take it you could do that from inside your car?
It's funny how things suddenly repair themselves. I never said but a couple of weeks ago my digital watch (one of those Casio computer/database ones) suddenly reset itself to 12:00,1/1/2000 and the light kept coming on all on it's own.
At first I simply assumed it was possessed but then I took it off, hit it against a table a couple of times, hard, and it started working fine again (I'd already reset it). Had no problems since.

In my bitter experience, things that fix themselves also have a tendency to break themselves.

Yep. Had to wind the window down from the inside (which, funnily enough, doesn't trigger the alarm), put the key in on the outside, turn it to open even though the door was already open. That triggers the 60 second arming delay during which I can wind up the window and get out.
And yes, I fully expect it to re-break itself in a couple of days.

Look on the bright side, existing data suggests it'll fix itself again too.

Sold the Zafira, got a fraction of what it would be worth if the gearbox wasn't sounding very very ill. Oh well at least the damn things gone out of our lives now.

My manager rung up the area manager and asked what we were doing with all the old computer stuff out the back, he was told to sell it off for what he could get for it. I now have a barely used Cannon MX870 multifunction printer and a HP PC of indeterminate age with an 80Gb Hard Drive for £20. Saves me having to buy new ink for my existing printer (at around £40). There is also a large box of unused printer ink cartridges somewhere in our branch but as the warehouse resembles the final scene from Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark this may take some finding.

Hey guys whats popping?! So I am now out of the hospital and out of bed I didn't get shanked and junk by peeps in the end so instead they gave me ALL the drugs and I mean a butt load of drugs we are talking about 7 pills, 5 times a day and as I was not allowed to eat or drink anything (NBM) so instead of washing all those smarties down with water I was given morphine. Because as we all know using water to take pills is for pussy's! Also fish piss in water so that's kinda gross :/ And on top of all that I had an IV drip and everything so here is a pic of me in hospital tripping balls http://sphotos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/292842_10151094616602751_1770229813_n.jpgI am now at home in pain still so I am off to see the doctor tomorrow to see whats what. http://www.teecraze.com/images/fury/morphinetime.jpg

Looking after the kids today whilst my wife goes off with her mates to see a show. Took my eyes off our 2 year old daughter for 5 mins and this happens. Head to toe in Sudocream. She has also got the drawing pins out and sprinkled them all over the house.

What I don't understand is why you would create/publish any evidence of such an event... "No, I didn't let the kids run rampage around the house and cover themselves in medical creams...of course not..."
