I've had a pretty good weekend - went to the pub for dinner on Friday, played quite a lot of the GW2 beta and today I went shopping for a bookcase so I could finally finish unpacking and clear the crap off my desk and I've finally managed to talk to someone about some website updates so I have a bit of work to do, which I desperately need the money from as I've been super-poor these last few months - spent too much money on stupid stuff, had to extend my overdraft this week and it's no longer interest free.

I'm contemplating whether or not to offer them for sale on Etsy or something to see if anyone would be interested in buying them, what people think? Do you think anyone would buy them? The main cost is getting the canvas print done, but for smaller ones it's not so bad.

As in an actual spoiler about the film (albeit of only minor signifigance to the plot)

I found the cranes helped to explain why he always manages to have something to attach his web to. And launching out of one of them at the end was kinda cool.

Thought it was OK, but just that. Enjoyed the second one a lot more, I wasn't bored but this one just wasn't especially "fun". Strange as it might sound I think the baddie would have been better without the mask.

Decided I need to lose some weight as I'm running out of clothes that fit so I started dieting at the weekend, going Keto.
Dieting sucks, but I've done it before so I know I can stick with it at least long enough to get down to a normal BMI again. Already missing having a beer in the evenings when I get home. The challenge will come afterwards once I reintroduce Alcohol and Carbs, I went Abroad for 6 weeks soon after my last one and put back on a stone and a half in that time (Drinking + eating out + lots of coach travelling so I wasn't going to the gym any more).

Things haven't been too bad so far, had plenty of energy and wasn't hungry through the day. Didn't suffer from any Keto Flu last time so I'm hoping it'll be the same.

Yep, first day wearing the delightful GamesMaker uniform.

I wasn't sure what I'd be doing today since the Games don't start here until Saturday. It turned out it was an indepth role briefing for the Event Team Leaders, or the GamesMaker elite as the Guardian called us, and the Venue staff, we'll be working alongside them. A good thing, they know the North Greenwich Arena inside out and have run many events there.

The training ran from 12-5. Unfortunately you only get meal vouchers for shifts over 6 hours, so we ran short by one. This meant that, obviously, we didn't need to eat, so no vouchers with nowhere to buy food. A few people said they were hungry around 3ish and we were brought a huge jar of sweets.

It was baking hot, at least they gave us water.

There'll be three sports at North Greenwich, artistic gymnastics, trampolining and the quarter, semi and finals of the basketball.

They'd now started to erect the tech in the Arena. NBS had a huge rig; apparently they were going to be using a new camera which can freeze a gymnast in mid run and then show him/her in 3D, rotating round them so you can see exactly what they're doing and look at their positioning. We saw some of the male gymnasts today, training; some of the most physically fit men in the world, athletes at their peak...we could have watched for hours.

Anyhow, I'm now primed to start on Saturday. I'm to be there for 1.30pm, the shift finishes at midnight. There are a lot of late shifts (my latest is 1.15am). We all sort of hope we can get home alright.

So today I was on my way to work at 9am, when on my walk, something caught my eye on the ground. I walked past it, assuming it was rubbish. But then I stopped and thought "fuck it, im gonna be the weird person who picks shit up off the ground". So went back and picked it up.

Was two tickets to the Blink 182 concert tonight at O2 Brixton.

They also had the original owners name on it, so tried to find him on facebook, no dice. Then called the ticket issuers to see if there was a way to contact him, but they had no details for him.

So yeah, two tickets, worth £70, in my possession. Was gonna go, but ended up giving them to one of the girls at work who has a raging boner for blink 182.

Then I went to the gym and GOT FUCKING RIPPED!

If anyone is wondering what i'm doing up at this hour of the morning, my main file server is dying (motherboard is a good 6-7 years old so I've been setting up a second file server to migrate all 7TB of my data before I do a rebuild.
