copying deadlys example (who knew he was a positive role mode). I also got off my ass to win a playbook. Finally got a reasonably competent release on google play. Just realised bad input force closes it though whoops. Need to do a fix tomorrow. Once I sort blackberry out with the new release they will be sending me a playbook too woo.

What I could really do with is an SCEP/NDES enrollment app for android, we want to use radius auth at work but atm only Blackberrys, IOS devices and Windows PC's can be put on, Macbooks and Android are left in the cold which renders the whole thing useless since we have to run a WPA2 PSK authentication system alongside it to support them whichis nowhere near as sexy (Key can be passed around to unauthorised users, hassle whenever the key gets changed etc).

Not really, that only works if you have a Cisco ASA, expensive bit of kit.

Ugh, couldn't sleep last night. Had that thing where you go to bed at a reasonable time (~midnight) but then spend the next 3 hours thinking about stuff and being completely wide awake.

Not even because I was worrying or anxious about stuff but I just went to bed with my mind thinking about things and then it just couldn't stop thinking about anything and everything.

During this time I decided that I want to patent something by the time I'm 30, I don't know what yet - but I think it would be something that would be cool to do. I also got an email from a guy I used to do some PHP/web development stuff for who, without knowing what I do, said that I was probably 'underpaid and unappreciated' - sounds about right. I thought about that quite a lot.

Patent sounds like a fun target. My favourite patent is Michael Jackson's special shoes that he used on stage to allow him to perform the gravity lean from the Moonwalker video. Obviously you'll never make anything that good, but you could probably still patent something cool.

Personally I've patented my droll vernacular.

It didn't matter how mad the idea, all had to be treated seriously and the innovative part highlighted. One of my favourites involved towing Middlesex Hospital out to sea to help generate electricity for London and the south east.

Oh yes...one of my friends in my Monday gaming group is a  patent lawyer. I'd imagine he could answer any questions about patent law and process you could throw at him if need be

Funny that, me and my manager were talking about a sure fire eco multi million pound money maker today for a product that really should exist but doesn't.

Apparently there is no viable domestic way of storing solar power produced during the day (when the house is empty) and using it at night.  I suggested a ton of lead acid batteries (not very safe and bulky) or perhaps a pump to either compress air or pump water to a storage tank to drive a turbine at night.  Would need some complex electrickery though.

today I discovered just how amazing it is to use a guitar amp as a bass amp. Bit of grit makes it sound amazing!

I used to do that, the practice amps at our rehearsal rooms had that shitty plate reverb so if you added a bit of distortion and wah you could sound like Cliff Burton. Couldn't play like him, but it sounded fucking epic.

Vocals through those amps sound pretty cool too under the main vocal if you're doubletracking. The other one I always wanted to try was to record through a mic with a polystyrene cup infront of it, used to be how the dude from Leftover Crack recorded his vocals .
