My (male) colleague came up with the work quote of the month.

Spent most of the day rehearsing with my old concert band in Southampton, since they're short on French horns as usual and I felt guilty about abandoning them in the face of literally 30 odd flute players. Since I haven't played for 5 months it was a bit of a trial, particularly as I've got a vicious cold at the moment. It's not quite as bad as one of the guys in my office (where everyone seems to have a cold) who while trying to clean his keyboard a bit, sneezed so hard that he broke the keyboard in two with his face and had to go to A&E with a mild concussion. That's a proper cold.

He was practically nose to key with it trying to see why one of his keys wasn't going down and then suddenly sneezed. The resulting doubling over of what was an impressively big sneeze propelled him into said keyboard, and since he wasn't a Goja warrior it hurt quite a lot, apparently.

These specifically apply to 2 of my friends today: His striping failed on his PC while he was in the middle of an important Uni assignment and he keeps all his Uni work on the RAID array. Every single thing she does in terms of uni work or whatever she excels at - but complains constantly about how bad she is at everything. She has been posting on facebook every 5 minutes about how she can't revise and is going to fail her exam tomorrow - but she'll pass it without any problems so why doesn't she save herself the stress/hassle? Why am I on facebook again?

If you keep important work on a raid array with no back up you... have made some bad decisions.

But it is a good reason to stay awake or wake up several times a night Well maybe I will see that in a different way in some months
