Of course, the Victoria Line was closed this weekend
It's a pig when they do that...it's my line. And then they go and close a whole load of the other lines too. Supposed to be upgrading them but there still seem to be as many signal failures now as there were before.

Got my dawn simulator clock up and running, had a pretty shitty night with illness so had a pretty fitful sleep. Neither the "Birdsong" alarm not the lamp itself managed to wake me up but when my backup alarm went off I did find myself more awake and much less inclined to just go back to sleep than usual.

If you're poorly maybe you should be staying in bed?

2 minutes before we close a guy comes into the shop with £4300 in cash to pay off his builders account. AAAARRRRRRRRRRGH!
Never has so much money been counted and cashed up so fast before.

I find myself stark naked except for a pair of latex gloves attempting to pull on a pair of red tights on in my parent's spare bedroom.

So much to do, so little time! It's half term, so it's quiet at work with no support calls to answer and I could get on with some project research I wanted to do. Being sat in a chair or sat in bed watching TV is much the same.

Slightly awkward time getting home this evening. The river near my house was flowing over the bridge so I had to go downriver a bit to cross it. Of course if I had waded through it it wouldn't have made much difference other than completly saturating the insides of my boots instead of them just getting a tad damp from deep puddles.
By the way, since most weather systems passing over the British Isles come from the Atlantic (yay Gulf stream) Ireland gets them a day or two early. Therefore, a word of warning. Expect rain, lots of it, as in more than the last couple of days...

LOL whenever someone talks about Ireland, I think of my mate who was out in the wilds in Donegal doing some chimney sweeping in a factory. He fell of a ladder and got his willy ripped off. Well not quite, it was hanging on by a strip of skin. He had to drive for 20 minutes to get to hospital and lost 4 pints of blood or something! Fortunately he's originally from Scotland so he didn't need much of a blood supply to his brain
