In other news.

Today I learnt something interesting. Leggings go semi transparent when stretched. Which then lead to me learning something else interesting. That being the sales assistant with the arse to die for as wearing dark blue pants.

Tonight I was helping my Film Society show a film at this local social club. I was outside in the foyer selling tickets.

One of the people from the club seemed determined that one of the audience was my sister, this Spanish girl he said (I'm not even Spanish). He didn't seem to understand that she wasn't; I had to say 'I'm an only child, I have no siblings' several times loudly and clearly before he finally cottoned on and went 'Ahhhhh!'

Have I entered a Universe where no-one believes anything I say?

(to add to this, I've just had some painting done, specifically asked for it to be done using Heathland and Cream Tea; the previous colours used. The painter took some samples to a paint-matching service and decided that Hollybush and Jasmine White would be a better choice. The Hollybush was okay, the Jasmine White was too white. I had to ask him to re-do it all, in Cream Tea. Now if he had just believed that I knew what I was talking about he would have saved himself so much trouble)

Reminds me that I was in PC World yesterday looking at laptops (I know, I know, the last place you should look for a decent gaming type laptop but I was curious)

The salesman seemed determined to steer me towards the Apple Macs, didn't seem to understand that I wasn't interested; had to say 'I'm a GAMER, a GAMER' several times loudly and clearly before he finally cottoned on and went 'Ahhhhh!'

On a similiar note, I hate to go to gamestop because the people there always assume youre really stupid and try to sell you an insurance on your game lol. Also whenever I just want to get a game there (because it may be cheaper than on amazon), they try to get me into a conversation about console wars or the newest Cooking Mama. Argh!

But I can imagine that it is really annoying to tell them the same thing over and over again... oh wait I do that the whole day but they are 1- 3 years old so it is not that bad

My day is pretty awesome until now. I was in bed for 10 hours (not only sleeping.. I can't sleep that long) and my bag doesn't hurt! Thank you new awesome big and comfortable bed!
After I had to wash the sheets and mattress covers because we accidently locked our cat in the bed room we can actually enjoy the new bed.

"Work" is very good at the moment. One mother is working more now so the little girl is here every day for 4 hours instead of  days 2 hours.. Yesterday I had a meeting with parents of a 6 month old boy. He would be the youngest kid I had in daycare until now. We will see..
The best thing that happend in the last weeks, was that someone from the (?) Navy school (?) has been here. They are looking for some daycare mums to work with. Sometimes mums from other cities come to FL for training or something and no kindergarden would take the kids for 2 weeks or 2 months or something.
So as I am one of 2 daycare mums living really close to the school, he asked if I was willing to also look after kids for just such a short time.
As we still don't know what is going on with Pauls work this is the best thing that could happen. I always have a bad conscience when I talk to parents and don't really know if we still will be in FL next year.. but on the other had they are talking about transfer of personnel for over a year now so it could go one for another year or something.

Okay I won't tell you whatelse we did today, but now we are going to buy some food.

All in all not a bad day. The first job was an easy fix of turn it off and then on. Worked fine. This was met with the usual claims of "I'd already tried that and it didn't last more than 4 minuets". Well I gave it 8 minuets and it didn't put a foot wrong.

On to the next job. Well the touch screen that I replaced yesterday wasn't working apparently. But due to a language barrier, I couldn't figure out what the fault was. But the staff were adamant that the manager on the phone wanted the screen replacing. Even though the screen was working. I know it was working, because I was stood there for 7 minuets watching them use the till. Because I was asked to wait for them to finish using the till. Deep joy. So I replaced the screen just for a quiet life.

Then after a spot of lunch it was off to Devizes to go and tinker with a printer in the back off ice of one of the customers. Now to get to the office I needed to walk through the changing rooms. So as a result of running backwards and forwards between the manageress out front and the office out back, I was catching snippets of conversation. So the one that caused me to miss the door handle and crash into the door frame? Well it went a bit like this. "I like the color, but I can't get it over my boobs". After I remembered how a door handle worked I scurried off to the office and laffed myself silly for about 30 seconds.

Well I did get to see the occupant of the cubical a little later, on one of my many manageress to back office runs. I would describe the lady as being over 6 foot tall and that she wouldn't bruise her face if she fell forward. Unfortunately I have no idea what the item of clothing was, let along what the color was that she liked. And I didn't feel brave enough to ask. Even though she had an interesting and knowing smile on her face

I had a tour of the Savoy Theatre by the Chief Electrician today. Nice bloke, and very interesting. They have lots of automation and moving lights (read: toys ). Not a huge chance of work experience, but I'm going to get in touch with either the company or the stage manager and see what I can do.

Today is a Monday, and for once that means I'm not actually at work. Because I books some holiday. So what have I done so far? Well I've dropped the car in for it's 20k mile service. Yep, 20K already. Only got the car in February. So a brisk walk home. Would have been good exerciser were it not for the road side cafe and the bap containing egg, bacon, sausage and mushroom. But all the good things in life are usually illegal, immoral or fattening. Certainly tasted good

Other than that it's been a nice relaxed day of letting my imagination free-wheel. Although I am having a back to my childhood moment. It's a hot sunny day. So what better than a tall cool glass of strawberry milk-shake? All kinds of good
